We just got some snow and every time in the past when i try to build some jumps on the hill by my house they always suck and always crush when i go over them and i am not a big person so i was wondering if n e one has some segestions on how to build better jumps that will hold and can actually get air of of.

pack it over and over again and again..it can take hours to build a jump 3 feet high... use water and rock salt if avalible..otherwise just keep packing the snow!

you gotta make like a huge pile of snow then pack it down forever or pack it down after a little bit of snow is added... very dry pow is the worst for making jumps, or should i say the hardest but the best

yea, stick a few logs or sticks or whatever for the base layer, put snow on top and pack it down, and repea, thats what i use sometimes, but not all the time cause most of the jumps i build are above timberline, and if you are above timberline just pack down the snow like a mothafucka, thats it

dont make a huge pile and then start to pack it...you gotta start packin right from the start....put mad salt on that shit as you go along so that the base freezes and becomes real solid.

k i guess i just didn't have the pacience (killed that word) cuz i pack the snow sometimes and it is small but i will spend more time on it this year. And one more thing with homemade jumps are landings necassay?

When u guys mean salt like table salt cuz the salt i am thinking of (the kind for driveways) melts the snow so how would salt help? Thanks for ur help by the way.

yea...use the salt that melts driveways cuz then when the snow melts into water it then freezes into ice...which is a lot harder and more sturdy than snow...ya dig

buy one of those plastic ramps for skateboards.

There is nothing motherly about mother nature. Except for her big mountainous breasts.

uh, those ramps are always too tiny, just have like several people if possible with shovels and just pack it down like every 2 shovel loads or so. and after, keep packing it down, then add more snow, untill it becomes nice and sturdy

Use a hay bail,

or go around a neightboor hood and steal blue boxes on recycling day then use that as a base just put snow over top, and pack it done you can have a good kicker going in under an hour,

as for salt it melts and then re-freeze the snow making it ice....

ice is hard and what you want for your jump to be sturdy...

logs help, same with various stolen items (works best if theyre stolen because its more cost-effective) hay bails will ferment over time and become soft and mushy, so avoid them if possible. Salting really helps for base layers, and pack it down like no other. Good luck
