Jump Building idea - sandbags

I was just thinking about building jumps, and instead of pre-building with dirt or wood, I could use sandbags covered in snow, then move them if I didnt like the jump. Think it would work? and how much do bags cost, I can fill them with dirt/sand
 
not any more, hey prices are going up. know why, well let me tell you, its all because of our dependence on oil. To reduce our dependence on oil more and more ethanol is being produced which uses corn driving corn prices up, the higher price of corn raises the price or milk, because corn is feed to the cows the make milk, and higher hay prices, because many fields that used be used to grow hay are now planted with corn. The latest development is the plowing under of many blue aguave, (no idea how to spell) which are used to make tequila to plant more corn in mexico. Tequila prices will rise.
 
hay bales would probably work just as well, the point Im trying to get across is that they can be moved and "reset" fairly easily. and how much are bay bales going up by exactly?
 
So instead of just grabbing your snow saw and cutting out some nice blocks of ice/snow you would rather lug multiple sandbags to your jump spot? Sounds brilliant... I'm sure it would work, just seems kinda inefficient.
 
You don't actually put sand in them. You go up in the summer to the spot where you want to have your jump. And you dig somewhere else for dirt and fill the bags up and then put them in place.
 
You can use anything stable to cut down on the snow you need. It really helps to be able to build something without needing the 2 feet of snow we dont get here in MN. Sand bags might be a bit heavy but anything you can stack will work. Problem with dirt is once the ground freezes you're stuck with what you have.
 
yeah I was thinking about wood chips out at my cousins place, would it crumble and spread out when theres pressure on it?
