Judging

should there be some set guidlines. For instance, if someone barely lands a 1080 with a quick grab in a big air comp, leans way back on the landing put doesn't touch down with anything, and the next guy throws a bigger, steezier 9, with a real long grab, and stomps the shit out of the landing, i give the nod to the 9,

but what if was a 1260 and a 5 instead of the above situation,

i guess what i'm asking is should a few rules like, " for this comp any 10 beats any five," be set specifically for big air, and they could change from comp to comp depending on judges preferences, so there isn't so much descrepency about the scores afterwards. I guess it would restrict some riders from doing the tricks they had planned, but judging is so vague in this sport right now, i think anything would help

"Do you have any idea what the street value of this mountain is?"

Welcome to freestyle dude.... hate to say it, it aint who you know it's who you blow... Hometown favorites and all of that add to what the judges see and score.. Lots a luck..

^^^ snowboarding went through the same shit when they started having it in the olympics...unofrtuantely skiing has and will go there...judging will be split up amoung several judges....amplitude x difficulty/landing + dick sucking = steeze factor

in any judged event someone is going to think that it is unfair..usually the loser

i guess its part of the game we play and you have to accept the punches and lame scores...

or just switch to skier cross...

in my experience you just gotta kno wut the judges are looking for, i was in a few comps with snowboard judges, so you kno they just wanna see hucks, but with skier judges they appreciate the steeziness so you go for that

A big spin that is steezy is going to kill your 5's but pencil steeze with shaky landing should not beat a steezy 5w/ nice grab but it could b the difficulty factor

keep that in mind.
