Judgin Format at X Games

I'm not sure if I like the judging format. I think averaging the two runs would show a more consistant skier. For example, Tanner didn't fall once. Maybe some sketchy landings, but he didn't fall once. That shows how consistant he can be. Both Jon and Charles fell in one of their runs. Why not take the average of the two runs together?

Yes, but a consistent skier in my opinion is a better skier. Look at Jon. He barely ever falls. Then there are all of those up-and-comers like Sammy Carlson and whatnot who can throw down close to the same runs, but not as often and consistent as Jon can.

i think ur rong because if they made it that format, then guys would all go out and do runs safely and wouldnt throw tricks that are harder to do and arent as guarenteed, so comps would be less interesting

the judging was pretty bad. Dumont and CR had awesome runs but they were jipped with like 85s

yea deffinatly mayb even three runs then skiers would probably get into some more technical tricks

Jon got robbed at Xgames man. His run was sooooo smooth, except his railslide was weak. Tanner had such a sick 450 on 270 out and had an awesome run aswell. But poor Jon man. Soooo styley

that scoring system they have no is good it incourages people to go all out, i think the fact that they have multiple jumps and rails in one run is proof enough of consistancy

jons railslide wasnt weak at all....probably the smoothtest 270 on ive ever seen..and i think the judging was fine gagnier should have won and he did

 
^that was an unnaty 270 spin on too, ha i have said this in like 4 posts

but i think ^that guy up there was talking about his box blindside thingy that jon sketched out on.

Anyone know how they do it? do they have a judge for each feature?

If they only have one run, or id its average, you wont see guys going all out and trying to do crazy stuff.
