they fucking suck my ass...jon got so fucking robbed,as well as olenick.. who is judging that shit anyway? im going to give them a swift kick in the balls.

Those judges can suck my nuts, as far as I'm concerned. They're horrible....the XGames should get actual skiers to judge, like Mike Douglas and others...

this is true. but crichton got robbed worse than anybody. his run was disgusting, and they give him a lowere score than tanner.

the fact that 20 runs have passed and they havent handed out a 90...and the fact that all runs are not being judged, but rather just being compared to tanners run is seriously pissing me off.

Im glad you people aren't judges. Pep and the others are doing a fine job. Tanners run has been the smoothest, largest and cleanest so far. DC didnt beat out tanner because his ski came off. He didnt land perfectly and caused his ski to come off. If he did land cleanly he woulda won. But he didnt, so dont bitch.

the reas olenick didnt get a high score is cause he didnt spin as much as others, he did alot of straigt airs, and jon isnt going as big as everyone else, but hes linking alot of good tricks, thats the only reason hes up in top 3

How the fuck did Olenick beat out Tanner's last run??? Tanner had every halfpipe trick u could name in his run and he was going big too!!! I almost fell asleep during Olenicks run... Straight air, to straight air, to straight air... blah!

Should have been:

1. Tanner

2. Dumont

3. Olsson

4. Chricton

5. Olenick

Olenick did like 4 or 5 tricks back to back, inluding his 9, with no straight airs in between to regain composure. Thats impressive, and thats why his run scored so highly.

 
Olnick did three 540s back to back. Tanner did flat spin 5, to alley oop, to cork 9 to alley oop flat 5. Much better run!!!

Fuck...Olsson had everything, he had amplitude, he was smooth, he stomped his landings, and his tricks were so sick....yet Dumont walks away with Gold...i admire the kid for the 22 ft. air, yet Olssons' run contributed more combining elements than just Dumonts air....i just don't get it.

Olenick's run was so boring. Straight air to straight air to straight air to 5 to 9 to 5. Tanner should have won, followed by Simon, and then Jon.

I am going to put it out there and say that ski superpipe has one underlying thing wrong with it. Almost nobody hit both walls. By this I mean virtually every spin/trick done (usually on the left wall) was done alley-oop. I would really like to see this changed and am actually somewhat dissapointted.

However, dont get me wrong, some of the airs were huge and sick and it was still a good comp to watch.

I dont understand all you guys putting dumont up on top...only thing that caught my attention in his run was his boostin cork 5 on the first hit. The rest of his run was bullshit, only like 2 more small spins, handful of straight airs, and sketchy landings compared to some of the other guys. Personally i think Jon should have taken gold followed by tanner and then olenick. If DC woulda landed that 10, he woulda taken it down and put jon in second and tanner in third in my opinion.

 
everybody was talking about progression winning in the superpipe - olenik was plain basic and boring. def not bronze medal material.

 
i agree, dumont was boring too. tanner, jon, chriton should have won. not necesarily in that order, but their runs owned dumonts and olenick.

jon and tanner's runs combined way more diverse tricks than dumont and olenick. they didnt go as high, because the didnt do as many straight airs. pipe judging is screwed up. makes me angry.

dumont definitely deserved to win, no question. no one was even close to boosting as high as he was. all those dudes were afraid of that pipe, and dumont was throwing down hard. also olenick deserved to get third, he was boosting much bigger than almost everyone also and was sooo stylie. jon's run was sick, much more technical but not as much amplitude which is why he got second. i think the judges did good.

 
^it's a halfpipe comp, meaning the whole run through the pipe is judged, not just the first trick, which was the only cool thing dumont did....he barely even landed that last 7, and chrichton throwing 10 and pulling it off with one ski was FAR more impressive, not to mention 9 blunt

Word to Dumont, and watch the slow-mo of his alley-oop 5 if you think all his airs were 'small' besides the first cork 5. He goes as far down the pipe on that alley-oop 5 as Jon was going.

And I just realized how hard that fucking pipe wall was... listen to the sound that their skis make when they slap into that ice- it sounds like gunshots echoing down the pipe. So fucking hard... no wonder they were all sliding out and blowing up.

 
In my mind, Tanner's run had so much variety, so many different tricks all linked together. I Can't believe he didn't get 1st or 2nd. It blows me away that the judges reward small tricks and huge air instead of consistently hard tricks all linked with big air.

I agree with cj's post.

Simon deserved it, he went big on all the hits, they just looked smaller during his run in comparison to his massive first hit.

Chricton's run was sick, but having a ski fall off will take away points.

Jon basicly did the same run every time, but the judges gave him all different scores. crighton and belanger would have been up there if they had finished
