i've been looking for a pow/bc and i was wondering how these held up like what they're flex is and how durable they are and i'm 6'1" about 165-170 pounds

You would do well on the 188's. Im 5'10" and ride the 178's. They are an awesome ski, shred pow really well and can handle trees quite nicely, plus they are a nice bc booter ski. They're not super soft id say a little stiffer than the T-halls

how do would they compare to prophet 100's cause that's what i've been skiing on definately wanna start doing some booters and hit the glades up at jay too

they're dope skis. pretty soft. but that makes them really forgiving. i ride ants and my buddy rides jj's so i have skied them a good amount. they make for a great all around ski. they suck ass on ice though, but other than that they rock.

they are pretty sweet skis. If you don't know how to carve properly I wouldn't bother, but if you are a decent skier they are great. The way they ski kinda reminds me of a mogul ski from the late 90s except fat. I really fucking love them. Soft, floaty and fun, with a fatty tail. They float and track well in Powder, and they are even rideable in the park with how soft they are. Mind have had a tiny bit of topsheet chipping but other than that they have held up really well.

O the bases on mine suck ass though. They were excruciatingly slow when I first got them. Many waxes later they are bareable, but I feel the base quality could definitely be better.

Yea I thought about that after I posted. I have the OG ones so that is probably partly the problem. I'm assuming the ski has just gotten better with age, but I have talked to other people who have had the same problem as me.

best tree ski ever (when it's deep in the trees). don't handle all to well on ice, but there are definitely worse skis out there too. the lightness and pop is what makes them so great in threes. also good for everything in soft snow. though i wouldn't recommend it since you live on the east, unless it's part of a quiver, since you're going to want something stiffer for the days when there's not fresh snow.

i have chronics for park but i was definitely looking for a ski a lot softer than my prophets but around the same dimensions

You might want to look into some Seth's too... a little bit smaller at the waist than the prophets and the JJs... but they might be a little more versatile for you at J... I live on the east coast as well and I got the skis as part of a quiver but they have turned into my every day ski. I honestly cant say enough good things about them. They ski well in the trees float the pow real nice... when i go out west they charge awesome. And to be honest they are a blast on groomers. a real lot of fun. I have them mounted at +5 from mid sole too so they ski switch pretty well and on days that im too lazy to bring two pairs of skis they handle the jumps well too. Ive never done any rails with them though... wanna keep em in good shape.

You bought skis without doing any reasearch? That's not a good idea, you just got lucky with a good ski, research next time.

they are really good in the park too

jp was skiing the ar6s at camp but switched to the jpvsjuliens

antony was skiing them too

they're not that great in the park, though they're fun for buttering. they have the smaller edges for lightness, so rails are a no-no, and the length (mine are the 191s) makes spins over 5 kinda awkward.

Yea they really are not that good in the park. Doable, but not that good. Definitely not better than an AR6 or something of that nature.

correct me if im wrong, but i thought that the 191 and the 188s were the same size, just armada measured them differently two seperate years.

really? so does that mean that the 07/08 Ant's and JP vs. Juliens are actually the same length?

have the 78s and i love em. theyre super duper light, and floaty blah blah blah.

they are pretty soft, but crazy snappy. love it!

they're better this year, new base, new specs, hard to say yet i got a pair ill let ya know becuase i now live out west and ill use em before u can ski haha.
