A few days back I was at the local ski shop doing the do's and looking through overpriced gear. I then came across the infamous goggle wall, where the reflection is real. I came upon the dreaded pricing of the Oakley gear (highschool student = poor) and paused for a few secconds. Right there infront of me was the Jp memorial Oakley goggle and It just hit me. Its been jus over a year since the tragic death of Jp and his partner (Can't recall the name at this moment) and I got the feels. Then thinking how even though he has been gone for some time he stays with us every day. This may sound crazy, I never knew him personally, I've never seen him face to face, but it just put a downer that one of my all time ski hero's oakley memorial goggles were in my hand.

Came across a 4 second gif of JP's dub back from the world tour the other day.. Just sat there and watched it for two or three minutes... Though I never got to meet him he was just this part of skiing that I never thought would go away... I feel like whenever some discussion about where skiing was going came around I could always just look at JP and what he did and the I would remember to just have fun and not to take skiing to seriously... He represents everything that I love about skiing..
 
Just watched his street segments from All.I.Can and Into the Mind and got the feels again. Such killer segments that just look fun and make you want to ski

To get stoked the night before i ski i always go to his edits for inspiration.

I rewatch his All I can edit on repeat I never knew him but it sucks at least he dided doing what he loved with his friends. Was his body ever recovered though? also RIP Matt
