Joystick SKIS?!?!?!?!!!!

yea i dont wanna feel that way but kind of do.

theyre kinda cool shape though and also are "rail/minishred skis". full wood core, may be similar to say afterbangs?

They look pretty sick.

Anyone know what's up with brobomb.com hooking Newschoolers up big lately with the biggest ski industry drama? I like.

not a new surface ski. 100% joystick. 1 size only. own shape that has nothing to do with any of surface's models. could be fun.

Does anyone know about flex? I mean i am assuming it's more oriented to a wider park ski with the dimensions. Either way should be awesome.

I'd be shocked to find out that that ski wasn't produced by 100% surface resources though. Call it what you will though

Correction. Read The_zissou's post. I hate to burst your bubble but its a completely different ski. Full wood core build for mostly rails/mini shred. Basically just a rail skiers dream ski. Should be sick.

these look so fun, hopefully next year i'll have enough $ for these, they sound perfect for the skiing im limited to, here in WI.

I hate that logo and its on them FOUR FUCKING TIMES! I really like the idea for the ski I was just sorta hoping and praying it was gonna come with a better graphic in the surface version. bummer.

anybody know more info than just the dimensions? flex, durability, rocker/camber, construction?

and price would be nice to know too

^This is right from the Brobomb Web Site:

"Word is that they’ve got full wood cores, mini-cap, and they’ll be weighing in at 175cm and 129/92/129."

Also, I simply don't understand the hate. If you don't like the graphic, or the dimmensions, or the available length - then I can see why you would chose to not buy this ski. Lately, I have just seemed to not comprehend all the hate towards anything from Surface, Causwell, and (now) Joystick. These companies are supporting our sport and making it possible to no longer buy Volcom, Burton, and _________(insert snowboarding comapny here).

If @Big_Spence, @mrstskier (and anyone else who skis with these two) want to continue to dyke up every single thread that ever mentions Surface, Causwell, and Joystick - I only ask why? Seriously, why?

I worked at a shop during the year(s) when just about every LINE Invaders that we sold were coming back in completely delamned. The skis were so poorly constructed it wasn't even right. The NS community complained then too - and to a certain extent, it was good for LINE and good for the community as well. However, continual hate against LINE never happened and for good reason, because LINE's passion for skiing and the future of the sport are etraordinarily connected. I venture to say that so is Surface, etc.

Well put. I too don't understand the whole hate on surface. Yeah sure one of their skis last year broke a lot. So did a lot of other companies skis. Thats no reason to hate a whole ski company. Theres plenty of other companies out there that have the same problem with skis. Keep in mind that surface has not been around as long as other brands have. And from what I understood, Their first skis ever when surface started up had major flaws. And so did every other small ski company.

You don't think when ON3P or RMU started up, Their prototypes had flaws and failed? Thats the stuff that companies build off of. Surface realized that one of their skis had an issue and they acessed the situation with a great amount of work. They even improved their whole line. If you ask me, That is very impressive.

well were lookin at a very reasonable $250-300 price range according the zissou character up there, and i personally could not be more stoked. these skis might just find themselves attached to my legs next winter, if things pan out the way i anticipate.

actually many of the og tacoma prototypes are still going strong, but this thread isn't about on3p so I don't see why you even mentioned them
