My spicolli poles lasted 10 days of skiing, and I didn't treat them like crap. One of them bent pretty bad when I came out bad on a rail. Later in the year, the pole just broke in half. I think it may have been due to the fact that they were at the top of my ski bag and the airport people were rough with my bag and both poles were a little bit bent, and from then on, the poles would just keep bending at that location.
i just make my own. i buy them for ten bucks, chop them to the height i want, paint them a custom scheme, put whatever baskets and grips i want on them, and wa-la!
i dont see why you people pay 60$ for poles that everyone else has, and you are bound to break.
why are we arguing over poles anyway?
pm if you want some custom poles for mad cheap.....
i love my joysticks. they both bent in less than a week, and lost the baskets. but, they are super light and i like the grips and graphics... you cant go wrong supporting anthony b, so buy some, you wont regret it.
ive had a pair of 2$ ski poles i got at the local ski swap, spray painted some stripes, and they havent dented or bent or anything for 3 years, and i would say im hard on gear
i fell on mine and bent them a little on the first day i had them. i bent them back into place and they is fine. the grips kinda suck cause i have larger gloves. but with park gloves they are poifect
i have the carbons and broke them within the first 5 hours of using them. i uhh liked them for the 5 hrs they lasted... they felt great but i can't say much for their durability
broke the first day I had them. The way I fell though i couldnt really expect them to last. but still sucked. no pole is really going to not break when you have an unfortunate fall so i dont really want to spend the money again. back to bargain poles.
im really disappointed with joystick. their poles are absolute shit. grips, baskets, and the poles themselves. Other than being a super cheap pole run by skiers, its got nothing going for it. I've now owned three pairs of joystick poles, none of which lasted past two weeks. Anthony B has some explaining to do before i ever buy his poles again.
