Discuss.

Actually don't discuss, because you can't have them. Only I can. Because I'm buying all of them. I don't mean all of the models... I mean I'm monopolizing all gloves made by Joystick. So fuck off. They're mine.

i like how simple they are, just as gloves should be, nice lookin warm and cheap(at least is speculated)

If I had to guess I would say the Joystick gloves are Hestra gloves though. Anthony has a pro model Hestra glove I think, and they make baller products. Maybe he got them to make some Joystick gloves for him.

No they won't, can't you read? All the gloves Joystick makes will sell. To me.

this is just my opinion but...

joystick - what's cool about skiing

empire - what's stupid about skiing

.

Cool looking gloves, don't get my wrong... but I just cannot stand the hearts. Seriously, hearts on all their gloves? I know it's their logo and all but... HEARTS!?!

I will buy joystick gloves when they release their heartless men's line.

The most expensive (leather) ones are 80something USD, cheaper ones are 50ish I believe. There's a pipe glove.

I'm going to need new pipe gloves for next season seeing as mine are getting a lil thin (lil cold on the hands now) and these look spiffy.

JD you better send me a pair or I'm going to steal your NS salary.

DOJibber has been deep throating Empire on many threads. Bro, its a crappy company with no creativity or heart. quit now and get on a different program.

Empire - from what we've seen, way too expensive. Joystick - trying to make their stuff as affordable as possible.

Empire - gaudy "gangster" designs featuring girls and bling. Joystick - simpler, classy designs.

Empire - run by Dumont, king of no grab 12's. Joystick - run by Anthony, awesome but unassuming skier, much easier to relate to.

it's subjective, but that's why I think that.

i agree on the design part.

but you cant hate on dumont.

back in the dayz in X=10 he was the king of 3, sw 5 on huge step down, zero spins etc..

he s just a comp skier but he has style.

but i like anthony better, he represents what i like in skiing.

so i get your point. make sense.

Okay, I don't see why this needs to be a "Joystick vs. Empire" thread, they're their own companies doing very different things and that's a GOOD thing. We like diversity, don't we? You can ride whatever style you're into.

Personally I don't have a set style in any part of my life. I wear flashy shit and classy shit, gangster, prep, whatever looks good. And I like the Empire hats and bandanas everyone was wearing at SIA and X. But I also loooove these gloves. They're somewhat simple but they're still distinctive, being able to do style SUBTLY is very difficult and extremely appealing.

So let's cut out the comparisons and stick to why the new product Tony's putting out kicks all sizes and varieties of ass, how bout?

i really like the fresh white look with gloves.

anthony has always seemed kind of pretentious in his interviews..which is kind of unfair for me to say considering ive never met him, buts just the vibe i get.

i'll sell you my sould for them!

seriously though, anthony and joystick is all that is good in skiing, imo.

Yeah I love the gloves, but hearts? The girlyness of the hearts is kinda making me question if Id get a pair or not

joystickskiing.com

he has a really, really amazing blog on there too, I strongly suggest people use it as their homepage. It used to be mine before I changed it to my friend's blog.

To people who have an issue with the hearts, grow a pair, your gloves don't have to lend validity to your manhood. It's the joystick logo, from the original slogan (and maybe still the slogan?), "Love Heals".

J.D. is that the price from Joystick, or is that what I have to pay you to get my hands on a pair, and are you a paypal kind of guy or more of a cash/money order fella?

Sorry I only accept souls. Maaaaybe still-beating hearts, but only if they come from the innocent (try children).

Wtf?

Hey JD, more skiing with friends, less reading by yourself and just maybe you'll be less creepy.

Haha, your posts are always entertaining nonetheless.

For someone with large hearts on their gloves... that last comment was rather sadistic JD. hahah

No ball growing necessary... I just wouldn't buy stuff with hearts on them, logo or not. It's got nothing to do with manhood, I just prefer not having symbols of love on my skiing outerwear. Just not my style. The poles do the logo quite subtly - it'd be nice if the gloves were like that too.

Regardless, quality (hopefully) gloves for cheap sounds good to me, so props to Anthony.

they look alright, I like how he's trying to make them affordable. anthony seems like a super legit guy and he's obviously a sick skier. Sucks Oakley dropped him though.

I'll stick with my Hestra Seth's though, they should last like 349586 years.

the joystick gloves look a little roomie with a short cuff. i guess id have to see them in person. ive always been a pipe glove person and grenade's just fit perfect and are warm for any E-Coast weather. the simple white one does look good. as for empire.. the prices seem to high for what they make.. $42 tee shirt? come on simon.. dont get greedy... the skier you want to buy your stuff dont have that cash... just a thought:
there goes the "by skier for skier" moto

Haha, that vid on ANT's blog is classic Burton.

50 cent is killing it, looking forward to his MSP seg nxt year.
