oh my god I was hoping he would pull something like this. I need footy of that last run, it has to be amazing

Unfortunately he didn't do it as a statement :( it was the result of problems/crashes in his two runs

1st run he bobbled the landing of his first jump, and didn't have the time to properly prepare for his next two

2nd run, he fucked up his rails, (the shifty switchup thing he was doing on the first DFD box would've been so sick to see if he had landed it properly) but he didn't come off how he wanted to and it threw off his entire run, so he did a couple reverts through the rail section, then threw 3 HUGE zeros back to back on the jumps since he knew his run was gone.

Yeah he did three 0 spins in a row. Mr Bishop owes me a beer for it, best bet i ever made and best slope run ever.

This. As a Kiwi, it was hard to watch, especially since the second run was his only chance and he didn't get passed the first feature

The zeros were a thing of glory. It's insane to me how casually Jossi can toss that trick on any size jump, even on-the-spot in the middle of a botched slopestyle run. They're also the closest thing to a corked zero spin we're ever going to get, too - he tweaks the safety grab up to about head height.

I'm willing to bet that Jossi zero spins better than he straight airs. With more style, at any rate.

Thought it was pretty sad actually - dude looked like he didn't want to be there and couldn't give a shit about the event - even the commentators were talking about it.If that's the case, it's a pretty sad way to represent your country on an international stage - should have left the door open for other kids who would have killed for the chance.

And all of the runs with commentary are available at:

Use a VPN and then stop complaining about not being able to find runs

Bullshit. He cared about the olympics as much as anyone, and was clearly dissapointed as fuck when he couldn't put the run he wanted down. As someone has already said, he messed the landing of his first jump in his first run, and the first feature of his second so he knew he wasn't going to place how he wanted.

He killed it for NZ, I couldn't think of any skier I would rather have representing us - he has huge tricks and throws them soooo smoothly. I'm bummed for the guy that he couldn't put a whole run down in finals. Those 0's were dope though, stoked that he decided to drop entertainment when he knew his run was a throwaway.

Here's a low quality recording of his second run. The audio didn't pick up, but that's probably for the best seeing as the announcers are completely clueless

All I can say is "wow"

I was glad to see him with a smile on his face at the end, obviously disappointed but still stoked!

Thanks for recording that

damn right, he deserves to be there 100% and as for not trying, well whats the point when you can't get past the first dfd box, the switch 0 spins are nutz, if anyone on NS would be willing to attempt three of those, off the olympic monster jumps go for it but we all know you won't cause we ain't the man that Jossi is.
