True..not sure the reason, but I guess hitting jumps that huge, i'd want to know exactly how my skis performed.
 
Jon was zero-spinning those jumps with the camera... at least the first one. Take a look at his shadow just as he begins the jump.
 
no way dude. watch it again, he just carved off the jump so he was leaning into the turn which is why he looks corked. i gues syou could argue that that makes it corked, but i dont think it is since he is like that when he takes off of the jump. its like doing a handdrag (lazy boy?) off a jump- theres no way you cant be off axis but it isnt really a cork, if that makes sense

if you pause the screen when his ski goes into the corner of the shot you can see that its the tail of a scratch fs. He's just holding the camera to his side i think
 
ive seen segments filmed like this and im pretty sure it was done by having a camera with a handle on top and just having the camera pointed backwards... not doing zero spins over 90 foot jumps with camera

otherwise this would have been mentioned in the blogs that cameramen were doing zeros to get good shots

hahah its sumner^^ and ya that was dope and wouldnt be surprised if harlaut or jacob would have won but then again we gotta see the edits
 
dont get me wrong, that was really sick, but was anyone else missing some jibs in there?

I know Jon is more of a jumper but there should be some sick jib setup in there.
 
I feel you, I think if Jon does the same thing next year he should have a sick jib, like gap to FD or soemthing with lots of big trick potential like rodeos on and stuff. I think just 1 or two jib features and then the rest jumps would be sick. I'm kinda surprised there was no quarter pipe either. Add in a jib and a QB and the comp would be off the hook. Although I'm sure it was. Sitting here in anticipation of the videos...
 
lol wow... I didn't even come close to hating.

I actually enjoyed the edit, although there were some tricks I didn't like that much, and it wasn't especially inspiring for me...

but I just especially liked the 180 a lot so I said so...
 
sammy and simons edits had better be the most insane thing i have ever seen, because that edit was just fucking nuts, follow cam on a 90 foot table, and steady handed? are u joking, and the front follow cam on the rythym jumps was crazy, that was nuts, fucking amazing
 
he is not zero spinning. if you look really good you can see the back tip from his skisso he is probably holding the camera between his leg or something...

that was one of the best things i have ever seen, im so pumped to c sammy and dumonts even jon and all the rest!! they all should b dope. the transition between movie and slideshow was so dope... and the last shot was sick the way it was put 2getha... nice work andreas
 
I'm pretty sure Are's park had some jibs in there and that since sammy, simon and harlaut were able to find jibs for their edit, anyone one who wanted his vid to have jibs in there was able to do it.

I think the hatveits vid prolly came in third place only because they actually only used what was given to them as far as features goes while the top 2 used some other stuff.

 
no... your clearly wrong . 180s cant be corked doesnt matter how off axis your skis get
