fair enough. i swear this is like the millionth time tanner has said he's ding a comp only to pull out with no explanation. sucks.
 
whoa why? i can see tanner, no offense but his big air game is a little lacking compared to all these guys. but sammy?
TRAVIS RICE FTW. definitely one of the best jumpers out there, from either sport, and the edit would be so unique. if you couldn't do a boarder, then hornbeck
 
Are you fucking kidding me? That just pisses me off. I was so stoked that tanner was going to do it but now im dissapointed in him.
 
wow thall dropped every slope comp this year now this... I knew this was gonna happen tho, just surprised sammy did it to. So weak
 
if there is any way it can happen, take travis rice. anyone who has seen thats it thats all recognizes that this guy takes big jumps to an entirely new level, perfect for joss. if that doesnt work out, it would be cool if mike wilson went, but i heard that jon and mike dont like eachother. i would say hornbeck. you could do the double flips and big tricks and he could bring the style
 
idk the details, but if Sammy had to drop cause THall dropped...

then maybe Colby and Sammy should team up

cause Sammy tore it up last year and won, so I dont see why he wouldnt do it this year
 
This is THE BUSIEST time for production companies and film skiers... One of the big reasons some athletes don't get the most banger segments are because of comps. For many athletes, after X-Games (or now this year, dew tour northstar) marks the end of comp season, and beginning of film season. It's game on time to get the shots you need for your segments. Tanner for instance is busting his ass to get the segment he wants (and ultimately what the majority of people are going to want, and be drooling over come fall)...So he could either be in sweden and norway hitting more park jumps (and obviously that would be ridiculously sick too, and could probably make one of the best/unique videos of them all), or spending the true time needed to do work and get epic shots up in BC and AK. The length of JOSS, and the timing just isn't the best for the guys building segments in the backcountry, especially march when many of the big mountain lines come into prime, and AK gets good.
Concluding this rant: NO ONE should be bummed about Tanner or Sammy not being at JOSS... If you think about it: Whether they are at JOSS or not, they are still going to be filming during that time for your viewing pleasure later in the year. I'd personally rather see how much more they are progressing in the BC, which again, this time is absolutely crucial for that...
 
tanner seems to be flaking out on everything he claimed this year. first slopestyle, second JOSS, and i bet he'll flake on filming with 4bi9 next...wtf tanner?!
