Joss jib course

for real, i keep saying this over and over again in different threads. Skiing does not need more spins, flips it needs more CREATIVITY

oh and fuck these threads. i'm sick of people jizzin about how creative snowboarders are and generalizing that all skiers are a bunch of carbon-copy doubleflippers. there's plenty of skiers out there who progress creatively. if you don't like where skiing is going, quit complaining and progress it in a different direction.

and if this is purely about the course at the boarder event being sicker, then you are out of your mind.
 
all I saw was some dub corks off a big jump and a some standard rails in that video, am i missing something here?

Cool creative tricks in that edit....but not really.

And quit bitching...ski how you want to and let other people ski how they want. Have fun with it!
 
I agree that the "spin to win mentality" needs to go... but it seems the OP is criticizing the creativity of the features (i.e. the Red Bull jib course)

that being said, skiers are "uncreative" becasue you (the OP) aren't looking int he right place, the man running JOSS isn't exactly a jib wizard. Jon is the quintessential big air skier, not an urban skier. One look at a Trtaveling Circus episode and I'm sure you'd change your tune.
 
Not really a good example but snowboarders are more creative at urban than skiers I feel. Skiers are getting more creative though. snowboarders pioneered it first, using a lot of skate influence, now skiers are progressing their own way.

i mean, at least there hasnt been one of those before in skiing, every year for the past 6 years. i wonder whats going down on that.
 
Snowboarding seems more creative because you're not as familiar with it. In my experience, snowboarders complain about exactly the same shit as skiers do, except they post skateboarding videos in the place of snowboarding ones.
