"The last time we did JOSS was back in 2010, after that I decided that
the event needed a break as all locations had been filmed on so much
over the past few years. Coming into this year I wanted to bring it back
but I did not manage to find enough funding for it, that is until
yesterday when I had a very interesting call. So todays mission is to
put together a budget for JOSS and see what it would cost to make this
happen. Everything is far from set, but I am still excited as I would
love to do this event again, for sure one of the most fun projects that I
have been a part of.If I would do it again I would most likely
move on from the country based teams and where I invited skiers and they
got to set up the teams. This time I would rather contact the biggest
ski film companies and invite them and let them decide what skiers to
bring, just to be able to put more focus on the filming and creativity
of the sport, something that I think is great to push for on a year like
this with Olymipics and stock runs having such a big focus!
Will
keep you guys posted, but feel free to hit me up with any ideas that you
would like to see at JOSS if we can bring it back this year! Lets prey
that we can make this happen!"
Looks like he's following the idea that Orage had with the Masters...
