"The last time we did JOSS was back in 2010, after that I decided that

the event needed a break as all locations had been filmed on so much

over the past few years. Coming into this year I wanted to bring it back

but I did not manage to find enough funding for it, that is until

yesterday when I had a very interesting call. So todays mission is to

put together a budget for JOSS and see what it would cost to make this

happen. Everything is far from set, but I am still excited as I would

love to do this event again, for sure one of the most fun projects that I

have been a part of.If I would do it again I would most likely

move on from the country based teams and where I invited skiers and they

got to set up the teams. This time I would rather contact the biggest

ski film companies and invite them and let them decide what skiers to

bring, just to be able to put more focus on the filming and creativity

of the sport, something that I think is great to push for on a year like

this with Olymipics and stock runs having such a big focus!

Will

keep you guys posted, but feel free to hit me up with any ideas that you

would like to see at JOSS if we can bring it back this year! Lets prey

that we can make this happen!"

Looks like he's following the idea that Orage had with the Masters...

This is great news, I did love the whole country battle thing but Jon's new idea sounds even better. Looking forward to it so hopefully it works out.

yeah, but Jon gets more publicity, so it might trigger a spark for future investors to joss :)

Especially when he could have included the best edit ever made.

This is the best news in a while JOSS was the best event every year and the edits that came out of it were unreal

Love this idea for a change in format, and love that Jon wants to focus on the filming/creativity side of things. It's things like this that really make me wonder why Jon gets the amount of hate that he does. Yea he's rich, but as far as I can tell, he chooses to handle that money in a pretty respectable way.

while I enjoyed the countries format- we have the olympics covering that now. Up until now JOSS was like the olympics skiing never had haha.

I feel like somebody should have seen this coming when he made the thread on here asking about if he were to have another JOSS, who we would want for team NS.
