ok, but you could also stick a jet engine on the back of a lawnmower and blast your remains across the 1/4 faster than any car on earth. The point is that these cars have prestige, craftsmanship, and desirability behind them. Many supercars if properly maintained can be an investment, look at McLaren F1 prices. Recently there was a similar argument made about the new 5.0 Mustang and the BMW M3. Both have over 400HP, the stang has more torque, and they put down similar numbers (the M3 is a bit faster in the 1/4), however disregarding price, the M3 is a better car hands down, the whole driving package is finely tuned and communicative. I do understand where you are coming from and agree, but take the douchebags out of the equation and what you have are masterpieces of engineering and design.
