soooo, does anyone wanna fill me in on what jon was saying about the jump he obviously disliked intensely at icer air? im interested

No, compare icer air to any jump thats been constructed for a contest. "Whoa" is the least you can say about that thing.

that jump was super unsafe, and it showed becasue of that one girl's fall. i cant belive that that jump was allowed to be hit. sick idea to put it inside a statium but make it a little safer i would say.

maybe because he personally witnessed tanner AND simon nearly end their skiing careers on dangerous jumps?

just maybe

I agree, especially seeing it up close you could tell that it definitely wasn't the best construction. Even with it being in the stadium, it still could have been constructed bette so that it would have been safer for the athletes to hit.

i hit the jump and i wasnt scared at all. everyone was like "oh john dont hit it" but the people that were hitting it just thought it was lame. it wasnt so scary as much as the fact of the size of the crowd and the fact that no one could throw down on the jump. so everyone that it saying that the jump is dangerous is wrong. i dont know how the snowboarder fell in the gap but if you cant hit a jump confidently you should have been allowed to hit it anyways. everyone else thought it was fine. ya the sides of the landing were scetch but im a little baffled as to how anyone had the balls to carve off the jump enough to hit the sides. whatever, the hating is kinda pissing me off

heres first hand that icer was dope but could have been better. i dont know why everone is freaking out about danger when thats what the sport is about

Vry Very true. amd hes one of the richest skiers ever. i.e he lives in monte carlo... ive been there and the minute i walked into the main city square i saw 4 lambos and 6 FERARIS parked outside casinos and hotels. you must be loaded to live there

Would you really expect the jump to be better when the Nothstar park builder built it? He can't even create a reliable, good park with all the funds he has at Nstar.

yea but the inrun was so slow that if they had made it any bigger nobody would have avoided casing the knuckle. they were barely clearing it most of the time

dont yall know that duhamel is actually j-mo pretending to be a school boy for his own sexual fun? gosh.... but no really that jump was sketch as fuck...

how could anyone not say the jump was dangerous? I mean, there is risk in freeride skiing, but if I crash at my park and go a bit to the side I don't crush myself on 2 x 4s. Ridiculous

that along with lots of other things. The fence next to the 2x4s cut off with a pretty sizable drop off the side. Somebody could have easilay fallen off there

hahahahahahaha! Thanks for the vote of confidence but I build BIG jumps out of snow. Just wait, K.C. Alpine will have the biggest jump in CA again, very soon.

They should have built the in-run and take-off tranny's longer and the landing a bit shorter. The landing was like 150'-200' when everybody was landing within 20' of each other. That was a huge waste of transition. Oh well, I think Gunny will get it right next year.

I am sure some of the Icer air promoters saw the Northstar park and said, "Hey, this park blows balls, if we got this dude to build a shoddy jump maybe people will get hurt and we can get a ton of press."

why did it need to be soo damn high up, i dont believe anyone was landing at the bottem. maybe if the put it down a few stories it would have been a bit better?
