Am i the only person who wants to see him crash in the olympics? He is sooooo damn cocky about how he is the originator of all this shit.

That whole interview was more than you'll ever be able to understand. You have probably never even met him. He is definately one of the cooler people that exist in this world. The money and publicity he has gained doesn't just come from a medal, takes brains too.

there are plenty of pros with money that dont piss me off, i read half of the interview with him, and it pretty much just said how fuckin great he is, and how everyone else tries to emulate him.

I'm so tired of that guy. Have you noticed he is not really in the movies too much. The Dinner Role Mute Grab is only cool if you can do other tricks. I don't think he represents skiing well at all. As the big corperations give him a hand job, the people that ride for the love of riding go out every day they can and don't get shit but the self-satisfaction of knowing that as another day passes and a step further into the grave you go, but its OK, at least you spent the day doing what you love. That is the real soul of our sport, not those who act like they are te king of it.

Millions of dollars don't just fall out of trees. Marketing, take's intelligence, something moseley has. Sure it's gay as hell sometimes but it gets the job done. bottom line.

have any of you seen the intro movie for his game he tries to acxt like such a pimp and stuff .. i think they have it a www.gamespot.com watch it

hey frost, bro, that is exactly the way that skiing should be. you shouldn't ride for the money and the sponsors, you should ride for the fun and satisfaction of knowing that you have been doing the thing that you love.

Jonny is going to throw a dinner roll 7 mute off the last mogul jump and eat shit hard in front of america. And hopefully set his ego back on the level that it should be.

so in the 98' Nagano olympics Julien Regnier LaForgge threw the same tricks as Mosely and placed 11th...How much better would it be if he would have won? we would have a dope skier representing what we do...its not that i hate mosely, just i dont think he should be freeskiings icon

Why do you guys say, 'I have to take a shit' when you just leave it there?' JF learning english

yo i know he has done some things that maybe I wouldn't have, but I definatly want him, or any US skier to win the olympics.

I want Dybvig to win more (even with a bum knee) but if moseley won I think it would still be dope.

He definatly gets more Publicity than anyone else on the US team. At Steamboat, I am glad a Canadian won today and 4 of other members did better than he did... if he was even there. I missed the first few riders. They did have a small segment dedicated to him though.

Problem is, if he stomps it, we'll al be screwed and we'll put up with him for more and more.

I don't think any of you guys have a singlee clue what it will do for the sport of skiing if he stomps it? the US is the publicity capitol of the world, if an american wins two olympics in a row in any sport the attention is TREMENDOUS. The run will be shown over and over and over and more people will see skiing that wouldn't have seen it before. It will do nothing but good. Sure, johnny has made some decisions that seem to us to be a little immoral but, they were pure business decisions.

You should all be cheering him on not only as an american (or north american for that matter) but as an advertisement for our sport.

I dont think he is a great newschooler, but he gives kids who cant ski worth shit somebody to look up to. I hope he does win the olympics, so we can say we have the best mogul skier in the world. He gives America a new sense of hope. ( wow, that sounds deep)

dude dont be an asshole. if he land the dinner roll teneighty people will realize what skiing has come to. Mabey the snowboarders will see it and straighten up their act.

-Cause im a Cracka-

The perfect median would be if he stomps the dinner roll then loses himself trying to get back on line.

I think the sport is moving away from moguls. Watch, it will happen. If Bonny Poseley eats shit, it just proves he is getting past up.

Late-JD

If he eats shit, it proves nothing other than he had a bad day. And thank you captain obvious for being such a genius and alerting the rest of the world that moguls is a dying sport, WOW you are one observant cookie!

If you guys really thought about it long and hard maybe you would see that it would be VERY good for the sport if Johnny wins again, or atleast does well.

Cocky in the interview? Must have been reading a different interview than me. He was just answering the questions and telling it how it is. I am sick of the who did what first debate too. None of us were there so none of us know. And quite frankly I dont give a shit if it was JF or Jonny and I dont see why anyone else should either. Moseley has done so much for the sport and has had people take advantage of him too. K2 used his name on the ski without his permission. You may argue that you wouldnt be pissed if someone put your name on a ski without your permission, but skiing is a BUSINESS, like it or not, and Moseley and all the other athletes have to make BUSINESS decisions when it comes to what they do. I have read plenty of comments by other athlete's about Moseley and it seems they only have good things to say about the guy. On another note...why the hell would anyone want to see the guy fall? If Moseley stomps the dinner role without getting DQed and ends up on the podium skiing will experience an explosion bigger than the one after he landed the mute 3 in 98. And maybe...just maybe the FIS will finally remove their heads from the asses and freestyle can be saved before its too late. Check out the latest freeskier and read the tidbit said by Auclair on Moseley. Dont hate the guy for doing what he loves to do.

imho i hope he crashes. ive never met him but people i know that have say he is real stuck up and acts like he is the shit. i dont see any style in his tricks - he is just a marketing scheme. hes trying to join two completely opposite sports. i feel freerideing should be moving in the complete opposite direction as he is trying to push it. i dont see how his dinner roll can be such a revolutionary trick - hes been doinging them for years! i just think he is the wrong person to be representing this sport. if he does land it and wins the gold, the millions of people out there who have no clue about skiing except for what they see in the olympics will think that he is leading the sport, when he is far from it. come on - he has a video game named after him. if he wins another gold his ego will be through the roof. and so i end my rambelling speech

I really don't see any point in segregating the sports of new school skiing and freestyle skiing. They're both skiing...and there shouldn't be any limitations on either sport.

I think brad holmes comes across as being cockier then mosely...but nobody says anything about that. Holmes also said that it pisses him off when people confuse confidence with cockyness. Mosely is definitly confident with everything he does.

Well since graves said exactly what I have said in every single post I have made hear, then props to me too.

Oh and as for the debate on who did what first. I WAS there, in 96 at canadian senior nationals, JF did it first. Don't assume anything.

Detective my point is that no one can be sure when the first mute was actually done. It's an atgument with no hard documentation. Douglas did the first d-spin, but then again Cusson said in his FREEZE interview that his buddy was doing them way back in the day. If you check out Freedom productions Declaration there is a guy throwing D-spins and that film came out the same year as 13 when Douglas started doing D-Spins. Plake was attempting what appears to be misty flips in Blizzard of Ahhh's. Well before they became a common site in today's films. There are plenty of people out of the spotlight that are just as innovative. I am not trying to discredit Douglas, Cusson, or any of those guys because they are all pioneers. I just trying to prove that arguing who did what first is a pointless argument.

When Mosley won the 98' olympics I spat on my tv. THen i realized that later that he helped push newschool skiing mainstream and that's phat. If Jean luc Brassard won then the sport would have been oppressed even further by the FIS. I heard that Jonny was going to throught a flat sspin in the bumps if that's true I hope he makes it. I might be canadian but go USA

i think that tis sorta selfish what he did. he asked the fis to make the dinner roll legal. like who else is going to do it? its just going to be him and if he stomps it there isnt to much that the others can do. so i thought that was a move of cowardism to win the olympics, but whatever. i havent met him, so i dont know what type o guy he is. but somewhere you r going to need a guy to represent ya in a sport and like it or not he is the guy so give him a bit o respect

DEZ: It's not just the dinner roll, it's all off axis spins where the feet don't go above head. Again, Johnny helps out the sport.

Yah man, mogulers are all just twisters and spreads, guys like dybvig and such can do some decent tricks off mogul jumps. In 13 i think trennon paynter tries a misty or something into the moguls. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some cool shit go down. And even if mosely did pretty much set himself up for the gold, give it 4 years, the next olympics everyone will be doing flat spin grabs and stuff...and who knows, maybe they'll even allow inverts by then.

yes i know but tis still pretty cheap

jonny is the man. he is not skiing for the money. his family has millions. he does not have to work a day in his life! he can throw tricks, ski moguls, and big mountain. jealousy will get you no where. he deserves respect.

im pretty anxious to see the olympics actually.. i bet there has to be more guys with stunts planned then just jonny

It is unfortunate when everything seems to be going really good and the girl uses a word like 'dont', or 'stop'. If she learned to use these two words in unison, everyone would be much happier.

everyone here seems to think that you win a mogul comp with a cool air. air is one fourth of the total score and jonny moseley has been doing pretty bad so far on the world cup! also you have to do 2 tricks and if the first one isnt that good he can throw the best rodeo ever without getting anywhere!

julien rl also threw a 3mute in 98 and he placed 11. moseley won´t win just because he throws a dinner role.

jonny moseley is great, so is all mogul skiers!

It's not the fact that Moseley is cocky, its the fact that he supports FIS sanctioned events and his main point is that snowboarding couldn't resist. Hes a fucking sellout

but neither can skiing, you can't stop fis from comming in it's just going to hapen. It's how the athlete deal with it that is going to dictate the way things pan out.

And as for the cork at Salt lake at the nor am, that was either me on the first day or rory buschfield on the second.

ok there is way too much hate on this board right now

I forget who said this 'im tired of hearing about newschool and freestyle being diffrent'.

I thought newschool was freestlye because there are no rules and you can do whatever you want, therefore, freestlye.

Turning is for when stuff gets in your way.

I really couldn't care less about Jonny Mosely but I kind of hope that he doesn't do well just on the off chance that it might delay the FIS in taking the creativity/fun out of newschool/freeskiing/whatever it's called. It will happen, the FIS probably sees itself dwindling in the face of newschool and it won't have a choice but to jump on the bandwagon just to servive.

That's just my two cents.

C-Lo how can Moseley be a 'fucking sellout' as you so humbley put it if he is staying true to what he believes. Just because he supports FIS events doesnt make him a sellout. He has spent the majority of his skiing life competing in FIS sanctioned events and when a person spends that much time with an organization that has provided so much opportunity for a person then it is hard to turn your back on that organization. Moseley did make a good point about boarding. Everyone wants to go and compete in the pipe this year. In 98 most boarders didnt want to be a part of the Olympics, now there are guys lining up to try and get on the team. FIS isnt perfect and everyone knows that including Moseley. FIS could provide great opportunities for more exposure for skiing but first they need to change the way they handle contests.

Word, Graves. If you're bitching and whining about people supporting FIS, you're not fixing the problem, you're part of the problem.
