What the fuck is Jonny Moseley doing hosting a god damned MTV Road Rules/Real World 'Battle of the Sexes' this spring?? I think it's cool for a skier to get recognized on TV, but Jonny Moseley?? Come on, he's not that great.

I'm not saying he's really bad, in comparison to me he's amazing. But Tanner and Crichton and tons of others are better, in my opinion

Jonny Moseley gets more shit than anyone, but he's been getting it done for way longer than most of the younger skiers a lot of you guys think should be hosting it instead. Furthermore if they had CR or someone else hosting it no one exept core skiers would know who the hell it was and they would likely need an ebonics translator. Lastly to those of you who think Moseley is a one trick wonder, many people can and have said the same of Tanner Hall and his switch rodeo 7 (which by the way Moselely was the first person I ever saw do that trick, in the 2000 U.S. Open which he won). Just like Tanner Moselely has a much bigger bag of tricks but opts to stick to the money jump for competitions and who can blame him? Moseley also brought the dinner roll to the Olympics and threw it down in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers who might otherwise think that a triple-twister spread is the best trick skiing has to offer.

Tanner would be a cool host, he would probably more 'hip'. But Mosely is one of the originators of freeking. He really showd the world what was coming with his 360 mute and then last year he showd the world that it's still around with his dinner roll.

jonny is awesome, i dont wanna hear people talkin shit about him. He has both skiing talent and people skills. He also has the balls to incorporate both of those together. Take SNL for example, all the athletes that go on show up dressed like supermodels. Jonny on the otherhand skied onto the set with all of his ski shit on, which is awesome and the people dug it. Give the guy some credit, cause any skier worth having their own game (even if it sux) is awesome in my mind

I'm really getting sick and tired of hearing all the guys complaining about Moseley being a 'sell out' or whatever. Jonny has done more for our sport that anyone has, and i mean anyone. He's doing a hell of a lot more than you're doing right now. I'm really getting annoyed with everyone calling him a 'sell out' or whatever. He's just a guy making a living, so don't give him crap about it. And more on that, don'e give crap to somebody who has done so much for our sport.

k, you know why they dont have crition, tanner, or whoever else you said hosting it? because no average joe knows of them, dumbasses. honestly, if u were to go up to someone and say 'do you know who tanner hall is', they would say no. ask the same person 'do you know who jonny mosely is', there is alot better chance that they will know who he is. but if there was an alternative id definitely pic tanner, but i mean, crition??? i deffinitely respect him and his style, but not in a million years could he be the host

yeah people are bashing on Jonny a little too much, because he is trying his best to get our sport out there to get a better name, I don't care how crappy his game was at east he tried... but what I don't like is all these great skiers that once they get really famos they don't go to comps anymore, it's a lot of my fav. skiers, not just JOnny I mean JP, JF, and all the ones that could be winning, it's how they got famos they should at least do one or 2, it's not like they lose anything

i have to admit jonny mosely is an awesome skier but he is a stuck up little biatch. i mean think about it, jonny mosely wins the olympicas in 98 then takes a break then go and does some newschooling stuff and then comes back and thinks he can win the olympicas in 2002 after everyone else has been training for the past 4 and more years. fame has just made him a little dick and anyone who thinks he is the bomb just doesn't know him.

alright, good thing we recognize this, but i do think mcconkey would be tight hosting a show because he's pretty funny, not that he would get any name recognition, it would still be funny. honestly, skiing has very little to do with mosely hosting.

it doesnt matter if mosely is the best skier in the world, all that matters is that he took new school to the main stream. although the other guys are great skiers, none of them have progressed the sport farther than moseley. maybe they pulled the best and newest trick, but moseley did more, he got average joe schmoe from texas into the sport. sorry i wrote so much, but people can be such morons.

and to all those people that dont give jonny moseley respect, you guys are bitches. i know he's cocky, but i would be cocky if i was as good as him. i like him cuz he can actually ski a variety of stuff. he's not just about the pike and park like a lot of those other guys. i dont care waht you guys say, moseley is the shit

 
If I recall at the last Olympics Moseley humbly stated that he lost because of his turns and the dinner roll couldnt pull him throught. Moseley's air score was lower than the three that placed ahead of him. Moseley lost because the judges scored him with a 720 with a break in form. He could have thrown some crappy trick and received the same score but he instead wanted a more newschool trick. He probably sacrificed a medal for the trick. In 2000 moseley won us open slope style and was third in the big air at the gravity games so he's a pretty good skier, not to mention a gold medal. Why mtv chose him over others, because he is decently articulate, good looking, and famous. lets compare moseley and say tanner to actors, would mtv rather have a famous actor or a nonfamous actor who is a better actor but not as famous hosting a show. Better yet would they rather have madchild or nelly host a show. They definitely want the more famous one. Also, do you think mtv knows who jon or cr are, no. At some board meeting some guy probably mentioned we should get that skier guy who threw that trick in that contest on our show? Most of them probably dont know moseley that well, let alone other freeskiers. If I were moseley I would host the show even though it sounds gay just because it would help skiing and myself by getting a bigger fan base. On snl moseley was wearing a sessions hat and other ski companies clothing, not just his sponsers. He was trying to promote the sport in general.

Mosley has mad style always has always will. I remeber Mosely as a young ripper at Park Smalley's camp at hood (Great westerm ski camp)every one who saw him knew he was destined for ski greatness. He has professionalism and it shows. Hall is basically illerate and can't count past one hundred or at least spell it. Hall makes a god awful role model for all you youner folks for many reasons.

Mosely can ski. Other 'freeskiers' simple can't ski and thats unfortunate. They can jib, but cannot ski. They can slide rails and huck, but cant ski. If they do try to ski they have awful style. For example, Tanner Hall's- shity on snow style. 'Gorilla Style' is not functional; what ever happened to the balance body position on take offs. I'm not bashing tanner entirely. he has led grest advancements in skiing, but the gorilla style is something all should avoid.

In the long run Mosely will be remembered long after Hall's been living on the streets.

yeah MTV wants someone famous for something they are gonna do like that, jonny is the most well known skier out there and unless they did some real world or road rules thing on jibbin then they wouldnt have some skier that not many people who dont ski know about, ton of people know about jonny moseley cause he won a gold medal and hes famous and shit so thats the kind of person they wany
