The network today announced that it has entered an exclusive four-year production pact with the former Daily Show host, which will start with Stewart making short-form digital content and includes what a so-called "first look option" for other film and TV ventures Stewart might have in mind down the line. (Meaning, HBO has dibs.)

The article has more.

I guess he couldn't stay away and the presidential nomination campaigns that are going on right now are too good to miss.

I've never found Stewart or Colbert funny, only Oliver. They all do lean a little too much to the left too to claim themselves as "non-bias satire".

I thought Colbert was a Republican

There are plenty of clips of Stewart bashing Democrats and Obama-cabinet people. You say he leans left, but his show is based objectively on what happens and, more often than not, what is reported...and you cannot deny that Republicans tend to put their feet in their mouths more often than those on the left. And that Fox News tends to suck a lot harder than do other networks, regardless of bias. They also respond to his jabs - he's a comedian throwing poop and they're "professionals reporting news" attempting to throw it right back, though in doing so they usual only uncover their own hypocrisy.

He does lean left on social issues, but the country is moving left on those things anyway.

When did I mention Fox News? Sorry, but I never said I supported them or watched them, just made an observation about who I thought was funny and who was not. And yes all of the shows do make fun of everyone and make fun of whats reported, but they all bash people on the right more than they do the left and when they have their "personal view" on something, at least from everything I've watched, they are almost always left.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just John Oliver came from Stewarts show and they are essentially the same thing. Just kind of sick of seeing the same show. And again same with Trevor Noahs show. Side note: why with all these new shows are the hosts not even from the states?

You didn't. I brought it up in response to your comment about his focus on the right (a) they're on the right, (b) he spent a lot of his time focusing on them, and (c) they're usually the most butthurt about his commentary.

Stewart doesn't hate all conservative ideals, nor does he always bash them directly. What he did highlight on his show was hypocrisy and idiocy in government (and in general). I think the collective group of TV political jokers bash people (primarily politicians) on the right more than they do those on the left because, like I said, more people on the right seem to like the taste of their feet. It's not as if the left doesn't have it's fair share of fuckery - Stewart has called them out for it too tons of times - but it's usually not as blatant or ridiculous as what comes out of the politicians on the right.

As for the foreign hosts of new shows...it's just the two of them, right? And they both had experience with TDS...
