Hey I am glad you brought this up because besides Candide, I think these 2 guys are the best jibbers in the industry but they have totally different styles. I think Jon is better and just better for the sport overall because he doesnt have an attitude or a phony ganster image and he is way more diverse in his tricks. But i still think tanner is an amazing skier, i just wish he would diversify a bit and show some more cool tricks since everything he does seems to look good

 
fuck that man, tanner is just doin his own thing and so is jon. Tanner is undoubtebly the best at rails. He's got it all nailed. Jon is good to, but he looks real nice in the air. So many motherfuckers critique tanner but can't do a quarter of the shit he does. Gorilla looks alot better then stick up the ass mogul style, or the 'im gay and wear short skis' arealist style, or the 'my spandex is so damn sexy' racer style. If you don't like it then you don't like it. Everyones heard enough shit.

I like jon better as an overall skier and he seems like such a cooler guy. But, tanner is obviously better at rails.

tanner is so amazing on rails. and all the shit he throws in the air is really smooth. jon throws smooth in the air as well. but tanners 450 disaster to 270 out in strike3 is so sick. and he throws like mctwist 9 in the qp and its really sick. jon throws 9s like it aint no thang either. they are both pretty amazing.

jon is better, i see him as a lesser candide, always trying bigger newer stuff. he was one of the first to do switch dspins and that huge QP air was so sick. he has to work on some stuff to be the best though

 
jon skis because he loves it - his tricks are his image, not clothing. Tanner is like the americanized jon, just with a waccked out gorilla style

these are apples and oranges boys and girls, their styles are so different (although i prefer jon's), that they can not be compared. just enjoy them both.

 
eh, i just watched tanner's segment in Happy dayz twice. he is amazing.. i don't know if that can be topped. everything is soooo smooth. The one kicker where he trows some insanely corked something. I think it was a 10. When he is wearing his all white.. (you guys know what i mean). he is just awesome and his style is so nice and smooth... and he is just funny to watch because he trys to be so ghetto. lol.

tanner is great on rails cause he can mix up his style he can get low, or high and spin on to them quite nicely. but off jumps and in the pipe jon is way better. when I see tanner in the pipe it just looks like its forced more. Jon is natural with that stuff. I meant look at Jon's flares and the flatspin that was on every mag last year. that was all natural and smooth, not jerky and forced.

Tanner is better at rails but I like Jon soo much more than Tanner. As does almost everyone I'm sure.

these guys are are overall the best pro's, but i know of much better rail skiers, like iannick's segment in stereotype, the speeds he was doing this stuff with were insane, and he was just doing everything at the highest level possible, but he dont have much air skills COMPARED to the other top pros.and you never see the top pros like tanner and jon doing insane urban rails, like anthony or any of the amatuers, these top pros do mostly park stuff, typically low risk rails in the park that they just do insanestuff on, but id bet that you wouldnt see half the top park pros doing that rail that steele and anthony did in stereotype

the rail at the finland red bull thing that is in the RFA trailer was only hit by Steele because many of the top pros cant risk an injury on a crazy rail like that. if they get hurt they can lose their sponsorship, which means no food, no house payments, no car, nothing! just look at Blunt, eric spriet's section that scared my shitless.
