You get Top Gear in the US??
Actually Antoine Montant, the ski parachute guy was in a feature once. He's my Girlfriends cousin... end claim
 
He's pretty well known in Europe i think, plus i have no idea who the fuck the person being interviewed on that show is half the time anyways, its not made solely for an American audience.
 
This is kinda off topic, but did you guys see that The Stig is Michael Schumaker? They interviewed him and everything. It blew my mind.
 
Its made for an English audience, so most of the guests are people who are only really famous in England, although they do have some pretty famous people on now and then (Mark Wahlberg etc).

Jon is not famous in Europe, he is only famous amongst the ski community, and nobody in the ski community is famous anywhere outside of the ski/snowboard community.
 
He was only the stig for the one episode with the ferrari fxx
This was because it was Schumakers custom built fxx (one of only 30 made)
They still have never said who the stig is and theres about 6-8 people who are rumored to be the stig not just schumaker

It was a stunt just so they could have the FFX on the track because they can only be driven by the owners and Schumacher was willing to lend his skills and car.

Did you really think that during his busy F1 schedule Schumi would hop on a plane to Brittain to do a lap and then fly back?

There's like one main stig, and there are special appearence stiggy's that do crazy stuff like ride a snowmobile of a skijump.

If you google you can easily find the name of the main stig I will not post it here tough.

 
^True the guy who plays stig did screw up like last year and blow his cover so everyone knows who the stig is..but top gear has never officially released his identity
