if you have seen the huge volcano looking thing of snow in 7th from harmony or symphony... that is a landing for jon olsson's jump. 110 feet, on the left side of the lift. should be sick.

well, they just started building it when i checked it out, so i diddnt bother taking a pic. its baisically a 45 foot tall mound of snow right now. but 110 feet is the rumor going around... hope its true.

actually matchstick built it for sammy c simon dumont tj schiller (yes, tj and matchstick), and jon olsson. 100 feet

joel bot said its going to be 157 feet call him for more info or if you want to hit it, you have to have clearance from him.. 604.905.9944

Wow, I did not know it was 100+ feet. It looked like the gap was about 50ish from eyeballing it. Fucking sick looking though. Definitely built for doubles.

By the way today was fucking money up there. First tracks down lone pine = booyah!.

holy fuck that thing is massive!

First tracks down 7th when it opened, only to find empty chairs at the bottom! End of april does not get better than good weather and good snow

You guys suck.

My buddy Yara took the photo, I'm assuming its for MSP? As per usual when they film late spring at W/B?

Now what do I win? :(

Somebody get some numbers on how much W/B $asks$ to build such a jump for the privileged few...

I bet it's a marketing write off, to use in there advertisements...

"Look we can build the perfect jump, but if your public then you can just overshoot the hutjump..." or something along those lines.

Of course it's a marketing expense. Exposure in some of the biggest movies of the year, this kind of shit, etc.

Just like how Warren Miller athletes don't pay for shit if they're on trips.

That jump would be so ill, it would be all that bad even if you should happen to knuckle, it's a perfect table top, oh i wish i wish...

As of Thursday, it was still there, but had some sort of weird thing built on the takeoff so hitting it would be impossible.

If you could dig that roll on the takeoff out, all that stands between you and hopefully not casing that jump is a couple of bamboo poles. Have fun!

from what i say in other years is that they pile a bunch of snow on the takeoff with the cat so people can't hit it. all you have to do is shovel it off...

There's another one out towards xhiggy's now, on cloud nine I think. Anybody no who that one was built for? It actually looks like its got a steeper take off than the other one.

i saw them working on that one saturday. It's way smaller, and has a much steeper landing.

I think the new one is in the exact spot last years was (in Push)

They had to put a mound of snow in front of the first one though. So huge.

I heard they already filmed on the 2nd one, the stepup. Some snowboard company, I forget the name. And someone got pretty badly hurt on it. Not sure if anyone else will be filming on it though.
