Jon Olsson triple.....suspicion?????

I personally think that Jon having TC build him this jump which alledgedly costed over $50,000 and all he has to show for it is a flat 5 and an over shoot is absolutely ridiculous. And no, I am not saying i would have done any better, but i certainly wouldnt have called a trick then have a $50,00 jump built and do a few 360's then leave. If you put Twall or Henshaw or Andreas hatveit on that jump, i bet triples would have gone down. "Super Proooo" Colby didnt even hit it. What do you thinkJOVB - SEASON 4 EPISODE 10 from Jon Olsson Video Blog on Vimeo./static/images/flash_video_placeholder.png

Maybe listen to what he said. He never changed the length of his inrun and once came down in the flat and once 20m down the landing. Do your math.

That thing is a beast tbh, combined with sketchy wind I don't think anyone would want to try something new on it. :P

yea, i mean you guys probably are right. But, the question is do you think that if it was russ or bobby who were hitting that maybe a bit more than just a few 360's would have gone down and it might have been worth building the jump?

Probably. Then again, I find such a professional vblog to be way more entertaining than yet another 30 seconds clip with a few dubs.

Given the conditions it seems like it would have just been dumb to try a triple on it. And they honestly didnt look like they were getting enough hang time to triple anyway, but its hard to judge that sometimes.

this is probably true, but i still think that a lot of other skiers that dont get the cred Colby, PK and Jon get, would have done way more shit if they were in that situation

The windy looked super sketchy and he did a flat 5 over it. props to that. Its not worth the risk of throwing a dub/trip when conditions are that variable. Look what happened on his first hit and imagine that with a double

Did you even watch the blog? The wind/weather was terrible the whole time. Had they had the planned 5 days, I have no doubt that triples would have gone down. And no I do not think that bobby, Rus or hatviet would have done triples given the conditions.

won't the jump stay though? can't they just groom it a little and try again later? or did they take it down? don't have time to watch now.

looked way too small to triple. Looked way too inconsistent to triple. Why would he do a triple on it if he wasn't even comfortable doing a double on it. Why do you care how much money HE spent on HIS jump?

You're a fucking idiot.

What if Russ and Bobby were there?

What if Jesus came down from heaven and hit it?

Doesn't fucking matter.

if PK on hit it twice

Colby didn't hit it

Jon didn't manage much over a flat 5ish thing.

there is no way anyone else would have even come close to a double on that let alone a triple.

unless you think you can do better, keep your rusty vagina out of Newschoolers

ps. I'm Jesus

this is some of the dumbest shit i've read lately on this site. www.tmz.com

i love it when kids completely assume they know what's going on when really they make themselves the laughing stock of the skiers they insult yet look up to.

lemme ask you, are you pissed that the 50 grand went into a jump and not to the starving kids of africa? why the fuck do you even care? more deserving riders? sorry they're too busy being successful in their own careers to go hit a step up jump you fucking jackass.

not true i find that if i say im going to do something and then have like 25 people standing at the jump i wont bitch out

this.

Jon practically pulled a Dumont ala PCMR jump a few years ago.

No way he should have considered any doubles, let alone triples.

that was sketchy as hell. it's impressive that he even landed that first overshoot, and then got a couple tricks on that thing

and dude, he's probably waay more pissed than you are about it

Do you not see how windy it was? Granted I didnt listen. but if PK and Jon dont do anything and cant get the speed. Good call on quitting on a jump that big if its not right. When you dont bad shit happens.

Did you not watch the video? Jon threw up some snow and it immediately disappeared. How often can you visibly see wind on video camera??

You have said some really stupid things in the last few days.

Is this thread for real? It was so windy that PK only hit it twice, and Colby not at all, I think Jon had massive balls just for throwing that flat 5 on there. That was seriously the best weather we have had down here for a week as well, been super snowy, I have just woken up to find that my mountain is shut for wind again.

exactly. the level 1 kicker and sunvalley was double the size. i realize jons is a stepover, and level 1s was a super stepdown, but i think a tripple would have been twice as easy

123Ski's name is red for a reason. He is an industry insider. If he says that Jon spent money on the jump, I'm inclined to believe him, rather than some 12 year old kid whose thread has backfired horribly.
