I really hope it doesn't go this way. Yeah, the gapers might think it's cool, but I'd rather see the sport focus on smoother and more stylish qualities than do as many flips and spins as you can. Because if it does go that way, we're only going back to where we started in the late 80s and early 90s when people on straight skis would spin as fast as they could. I'd rather see people buttering more, doing smaller stuff, slow spins off bc booters, doing rails more like Will Wesson and Andy Parry. I mean how much good do you think it does our sport to have these people going out and spinning as fast as possible? Maybe we need to start innovating, instead of just adding on to what people are already doing. Yeah great, we can spin super fast but all we're doing is degrading our steeze. Steeze means style and ease, but when I see a video of some guy spinning real fast or some guy double flipping it doesn't look that stylish and it doesn't look like he just threw it down like a walk in the park. If that's the way our sport goes, then let it go that way, but I can tell you I won't be going that way. Watch Pollard's self edit and tell me he didn't make everything look smooth and easy, would you want that or someone throwing their body like a rag doll in the air?
