Jon olsson pro's vs. salomon dumonts?

ive narrowed it down to these two skis (for now at least). I havent skied either, but i hear the jon olsson's have a really soft tail and the tail is thinner than the rest of the ski, and the graphics arent as great in real life. how bad is it? i have AR6's now so if you could compare to that, it would be nice. i do know that they are super light too.

how do they compare to the dumonts? both have wood cores, but how to they ski compared to each other? i need a ski that will keep the binding in (ive had problems with that and my AR6's, but i think its the mount job). they both cost around 550 (unless you know somewhere cheaper than tramdock and backcountrystore), and i need them to last!

im 190, 6'2, and ski mostly park int he east coast
 
the jon olssons are perfect jump skis, and judging the east coast they dont need that big of waist, so id go with those, but i would'nt have that as my only ski
 
why wouldnt you have that as your only ski? also, some people say that the jon olsson's arent to great on rails because they are so thin. i dont see a huge problem with the skis being thin, but i may be wrong. my twin tips have always been wider ones. how are they on rails?
 
my friend has the dumonts and loves them, ive flexed them and stuff and they seem nice, he rides EC and its his one ski. He can ride the whole mountian fine on them
 
anybody that can compare either to the AR6 would be a BIG help. thanks for the replys so far too.
 
It might just be a fluke, but I would avoid the JOs. The tip on one of mine got a huge jaged crack down the core of it, and it is gonna start to delam pretty soon here. Same thing happened to my buddies ski. No abuse at all, it just kinda started to happen. On a performance note, I love the ski itself, just some quality issues that need to be addressed (I think it has to do with the new glass topsheet). Let's hope their warranty is legit
 
i've used the ar6 for all of last season and up till now... rode some dumonts recently and they are a million times more fun in my opinion, wish I had some. i'm 6'1 185 so we're pretty similar too. get em!
 
I have personally seen Jon slaying rails at Breck on those and they seem to hold up just fine for him.
 
ive skied ar5s and dumonts (my normal ski) and i liked the dumonts a lot more. there really stable for everything and rails are super nice on them. ive never really liked armada so it might have just been me thinking that armadas arnt good. just my 2 cents
 
the jon olsson pros carve amazing. but i am not a racer. tail is soft. theyre nice, balanced, light, and they do look good. !=)
 
today i tried my friends JO pros on and fell in love. they are the lightest things i have ever felt! im getting them for next year proably and you should too! never tried the dumonts thought. im also considering them.
 
I just got a pair of Dumonts last sunday. Very stable, there good on jumps too. I was surprised how good they were on rails to. The top sheet is pretty good i've been skiing since i got first got them and basically no chips. they are very light also. they are good all moutain to go with dumonts son.
