Jon Olsson + Olympic racing?

He's aiming for 2014 Olympic GS - he's made a bet with a friend for 50,000 krone I think.

Not bad but still going to be very hard...if I am not mistaken, most National teams require something around 30 FIS point or below to be on the team, and even at his best Jon was in the 50s for GS.

His recent results show significant improvement though, 62 points in GS for 07/08 races.

Yeah, but with Jon's natural athletic ability, and determination to accomplish things, I think he has a good chance. He's a hard worker, no question about it. He can make things happen.

The dude has ridiculous talent in all aspects of skiing, even if he doesn't make the Olympics. I have a lot of respect for him.

Jon was just in Red Mountain the last two days racing there in a small fis race, came second on thursday, not sure about yesterday though
