dammm...jon is sick but kinda gets boring only seeing basically flat 5's or watever and kang flips put some variation in it but still sick

Yeah I with him ^, some new grabs with the spins would be cool, blunt dub flip or like double tip double flip, might be really hard to do, but it would be cool and new

In avarage you need to to do a trick 5 times in order for the heli filmer to get it perfect since its so hard to time, plus the times you fall, so say you need 7-8 jumps to really make sure you get one shot, so that is why the emount of tricks are limited during a Heli shoot, you pick 3 you really want to get , then on the next shoot you pick 3 different that you make sure to get... and so on..
And since we shoot sunset the time you have is super limited, so you really have to make the choices quick...

Some expanation for you... funny, I was stoked I did so many different tricks haha, but I guess I have to step my game up and never fall and get 4 or 5 different in...

BR JON

i don't know if I like jon as much as other skiers. He does not spin as much as other skiers and I don't know if I like that

These blogs are dope!

we usually worry that we're giving away too much footage and that people will bitch when the movie comes out that they've already seen it all. like they used to do with "Untracked"

but hey, if seeing sick footage in march is wrong,

i dont ever want to be right!

that japan nose grab looks awesome. it would look really good in kangaroo flip but it might mess up the rotation. ive never done a kangaroo flip though so i dont know.

Yo, make sure to check out the non-heli edit, Jon does a flat 7 trucker that is just unreal. I think, contrary to some of the other dudes, that this is one of the most impressive jump sessions I've ever seen. He may have a total of 5 or 6 tricks total between the two edits, but they are all so dialed and perfect that variety is really a secondary concern.

thanks.... variety is to be looked at in an whole segment, you spread your tricks on the different features you plan to hit over a season...just wait for JOSS, if I only do 4 tricks then I will get killed in score.. then you have to bring out all you have... but on a session like this you want to get the shot!

i thought that was sooooo dope. don't knock the tricks cuz they're so dialed its ridiculous. wtf was that craziness at 3:25 in the day 2 video? def sick shots

Jon keep throwin that flat 5 it's your bread and butter and you have the best flat 5 i have ever seen.

yah i agree youve got my favorite flat 5's, those dub cork 10's were so nice too, im impressed, don't know what people are talking about with the same trick comments... you only threw like 3 kangs in both videos combined, and they had grab variations.

the man speaks the truth

john if you read this again, be stoked dude. your video blog is the best blog on the net handsss down

and i could watch the kangaroo 40 times in one edit never mind 3

Jon those dj flips were increadable. Defanitly my favorite dub flip. plus you have those flat fives so locked they look effortless. The new movie looks like it will be great, ill have to get a copy. i love your blogs, keep it up.

the flat 5 just looks sooo fun.

I was thinking the same thing with variety but when you explain why you do that it makes sense. It's sick that you got several shots that day.

You should nail a switch misty 7 or 9 ala Propaganda! one of my favorite segments of all time.

i thought he had some pretty good double grabs with his flat 5's, like japan and true nose, that i havnt seen before, good work jon!

those were some sick shots, the jap nose flat 5 is definetely a sick flatspin grab.

jon; ever thought of throwin in a super boned high truck in a flat 5 at one of these shoots? that would be epic.

i like the explanations jon's given on this thread too, i learned stuff!

keep up the good work

Dirrrty set-up, but I agree with a lot of the boys I'm gettin tired of the Kangaroo's, Flat 5's, etc

Plus my girlfriend is in love with JON.

lol

thx for the explanation, that s why your blog is cool, so we get to know how it realy works.

still those flatspins were realy realy good looking.

i hope you got the shot that you wanted.

if you didn t then you are too much of a perfectionist and need to see a doctor !!!!

keep up the great skiing.

This is just the explanation i was looking for. I was about to flick you shit for only doing flat 5's and doubles. But def had some dope shots there.

i actually like his doubles other than the kang flip. The intro heli shot was dope. and the pole plant one 2/3 through i watched at least 3 times. They're lookin soo much better as spins. I like doubles now
