Jon Olsson- Mad Trix

Yeah, he rode 181's. Hes the same height as me and ive seen pictures of him with his skis standing the same height as him and my 180's are the same height as me. So there ya go.

i think the mojo moved up on my wish list (not cuz jon used them, i checked em out on the website). what is the flex like on it?

I'm still in the proccess of buying a pair of mad trix, but i couldn't decide on a size...I wouldn't have thought Olsson would be riding such a big ski for park...I was thinking more likely 172's. but I can't make up my mind...I've only rode cheap 178's and they felt big to me...how big is Olsson anyways? I'm about 6' 175 lbs...

yeah man. i'm 6' and on the 181 mad trix and they are short on me... if i had the money i would get the 186 pollards for how tall you are.

5'7 and on troublemakers, some say they are too big. i say they fucking are soo wicked, i love the big style

i love my madtrix. they are soooo smooth. does anyone know if the edges get ripped off easily by rails?

alright I'm buying a pair of Mad Trix skis in a couple hours now and I need some final advice...once again I'm about 6' 175 lbs...I'm just getting more into skiing now but I have skied in the past...I want a ski size that will do park skiing and freeride. I want to buy something that I will not have to worry about replacing right away. I was almost sure that the 172 would be the right size to go with...181 just to me seems like a huge ski...but if it's something that I will just have to adapt to then maybe I should be buying that size? I've also noticed that majority of people seem to recommend a bigger ski...should I be buying 181's? ...thanks

If you want all-mountain, go with the 181s. If you want park, go with the 172s.

Pabst Blue Ribbon is the greatest beer ever.

172's should be good for a bit of both though? I just talked to the guy at the ski shop and he seems to think that for my size 172 is the way to go...so I might end up going that way

Im 5'11' 150 pounds and ive got the 181's. Id say for your size you should get the 181's. But it depends on what level of sking you are at, it might be easier if your still getting into the swing of skiing with the shorter 172's. But still dont worry about it, we are talking about the difference of about 9cm, thats really not that much. Just as long as your having fun skiin.

ya I'm decent at skiing I just want to get better equipment..so maybe I should buy 181's...damn I'm all over the place...can't decide

I called Corbetts sports a couple hours ago and tried to order the Mad Trix 172...those guys didn't really sound like they had a clue what they were doing. everyone I talked to knew nothing about the ski and then they quoted me the wrong price. i had the order all worked out and they were gonna charge me 230 and tax for the 172(fair deal-as the ad on the site shows). a few minutes later they called back saying that they gave me the wrong price and it's gonna cost $399 for the 172 Mad Trix because they are sold out of the pre-drilled ones...but I still have the option of buying the 181's for $230 which I'm not sure if it's gonna be the right size or not...damn that pissed me off! what do you guys think?

172s on a 6 foot guy is like snow blades, get the 181s and adapt to em.

and jon doesnt use the mad flex bindings. he uses the 10 DX bindings like all the other head pros. with a DIN of 9-18 if i remember from my old pair. dont get 10 DX bindings if your gettin into skiing, that and its hard to find a pair for under 300 bucks.

If you really want a shorter ski, and you do realize that 172 or whatever is too short for you, call Corbetts back and tell them you want a pair of Scratch FS in 174 for $369.99 plus taxes. Check their website, it's on there.

im 5' 10' and im skiing on the 181s. they feel like my old 150s... you can't tell how long they are when you ride them. anyone else feel like you can't tell how long they are?

~never be bought. never be sold~

the mojos are such a dope ski, i skeed them first time last weekend at copper, they were so much fun, they held up really well on the groomers i hauled ass the only complaint was that it was hard to initiate the turn(duh...its expected w/ a fat ski) but once i got on edge it just held me there forever, and i took them into coppers mini jib park and they were so much fun to jib on, theyre just a sick ski period...but you really need to be a ballsy skier to handle these skis, youve gotta push them or they will work you, im still super sore from saturday

alright like i said there are no 172's left at Corbetts sports for $230... I will be skiing mostly park and my stupid friend baught 161 salomon 1080. So he wants to stay in the park. will i be able or should i be able to master the 181 in the park? and still have good skies for skiing the icy hills that we have.

holy crap, get the 181s I'll explain why and you can all stop your bickering.

Ok, first of all, twintips are mounted more towards the center, so there is less tip which makes it ski like a shorter ski. Also, the turned up tail eats up another good 5-10cm of running length for the ski. plus, you're a relatively big guy. for reference, tanner hall who is probably a whopping 130 lbs skis on stiff 180 or 185cm armadas. the added length will make the ski better at riding and landing switch, and makes tricks look more stylee. bottom line, get the 181s . the added benefit that they are 230 bucks leaves you with no other choice, just make sure that you don't get them mounted too far back.

Life sucks, get a fucking helmet

yeah man, get 181s.

im 6'1' 178lbs.

i was there@corbetts last wk.

bought 181s after 2wks reseachin.

172 seems easier to master trikz in the beginning and all but u'll regret it short after.

and, u can't beat $230.

with extra$$ i saved, bought 04 look p10 for $129us(shipping include)on ebay.

ur moves look way better with longer skis.
