WOW. see i am not 1% a fan of gus kenworthys style. i hate it in fact. but i am sure that he is a nice kid and would be more than happy to stick up for him. Jon olsson is a dick and would play fun on a younger kid trying to do the best he can to win a competition with a group of "professional" skiers. that shits straight dick for him to say what he said in his blog about gus. im sure that gus looks up to jon olsson as admiration for being one of the best but god damn. that shits straight dick to say that. jon olsson please re evaluate who your going to talk shit about. i hate his style and really dont like to watch him ski but please, theres no reason for jon olsson to knock on him, leave that to the 90% of newschoolers.
 


I agree it was pretty fuckin clumpsy sayin that. alot of ppl are watching his blog and he needs to think a little before saying somthing like that. with that said im really sure he didnt mean to call out gus personally, he was just unhappy with the judging. and he was right..

the person that qualified 7th, a fellow norwegian Ole Christian Mustad, did WAY better than gus and JF. not to put out hate or anything.
but, PK deserved the win
 
agreed, but though Jon was being a dick, the judges were a mcfaggot meal. im disappointed in that whole competition.
 
you right. but maybe that was kind of joke because gus do the same think that jon. if it wasn`t a joke that yeah it wasn`t very nice. but gus do what you do aand don t care what other people say :D peace
 
gus didn't deserve second, thats all. other riders stomped their trick and had a lot more style than gus had ie casabon
 
to the thread creator, even in your thread post you hate on gus man....be easy. It feels like a lot of people say well yeah i'd stick up for gus but i don't like his style.
bottom line, the kid is 16, 17 at the moment maybe? And he is unbelievable SICK! That kid is so fucking talented it's nuts, and style comes with experience so everybody just be easy. It's not fun to see a site that normally supports you to be knockin on your style and stuff i'm sure. So let's support this kid more, he's gonna be so sick someday, and he's already ridic good
 
fuck jon hes dealt w/ shitty judges before and he gives kids doing doubles shit. he brought doubles into this sport..o and double flips not double corks. double flips r played and so is jon, he can shut his mouth gus has style thats how he got into the comp if one of his tricks didnt have a grab so be it dont give him shit you prick.
 
I personally don't mind Gus's style.

Sure it's not the best, but he has so much more time to form and create his own style. He's way younger than a lot of those pro's out there and has so much time to improve his style.

And I think it was a bit dick-ish of Jon to call him out like that. Its hot his fault the judging was bad. He went out, did his best, and unfortunately hit someone and the fence. He got second for it, but its not like he was expecting that. I'm sure he was pretty happy, and it will be like THall winning the X-games pipe, he will be happy, but bummed that everyone hated on his results.
 
props for gus making it to the finals. But yeah the judging looked pretty bad from that clip... Oscar in 5th? with a washed out 7... watching that clip, the only way you could explain that judging is if those were the only 7 or 8 people in the whole contest!!
 
In my opinion Jon's take on the judging wasn't correct at all he gave props to Henrik who hucked himself like a motherfucker and failed to make the big spin look good at all, he also had a sketchy landing. Oscar did do a sylish jump but washed out on the landing. Cosco and Casabon were dope. Gus...no comment.
 
o and btw jon dont give props to oscar he wobled on the landing like tj pointed out. as he ragged on gus he pointed at him in the background..i wish gus would have over heard and layed ur ass out on ur own gay video blog.
 
im pretty sure it wasnt that gus didnt have a grab more that he ran into the fence on the landing that jon thought the judging was off, gus is a good guy but i think 2nd was a bit highjon is one of the nicest guys and has been pushing the sport since the beginning and its amazing how someone can make one comment and go from one of the most liked skiers to well simon dumontjon is intiltled to say whatever he wants and without the blog i feel i would miss out on a lot of thingsgus good work man although you fell/missed grab and were placed a little high youre killin it and deserve to compete with the big boys

if pk or any other rider would have thrown a double with no grab, he would have said the same thing, its not about gus
 
anyone else find it ironic the jon is hating on a dub flip when we have seen him kangaroo flip about 700 times in big air comps in the last few years?

Cosco def. deserved first for the qualifiers, Gus maybe not 2nd but def finals and that is what matters, the finals were judged really well and everyone was where they should have been.

He wasn't hating on the dub flip. He was hating on the fact that the judges gave Gus 2nd place even after his trick was not grabbed and not landed smoothly. He was not hating on Gus either.

i actually completely agree with what jon said. he could have put it a bit better but its completely true. It's king of STYLE, gus kenworthy's double had no grab and the sketchiest landing ever crashing into the fence and taking out Cosco, Casabon should have beat him in quali's. If you can't do a trick with style, then don't do it in a COMPETITION called king of style.

agreed. king of style is just a name i guess. the right guy won but its weird to see people chucking big spins. casabons 9 was sick
 
he said the judging was wack, not the skier...

He didnt say Gus suck cause he qualified with that double, he said the judging was wack since the trick wasnt perfectly executed.

I am pretty sure Jon isnt like most of the kids on here and be a dick to SOMEONE just becasue of a TRICK.
 
You really don't think there is a difference? Seriously? I don't even know what to say because I didn't think it got any easier than that.

It's possible to like someones skiing but be upset with the judging. If my best friend in the world was in a big air contest and did a n ugly 360 and placed, then Joey Random did a steezy as fuck rodeo 7 and didn't place.... I would be upset. Does that mean I don't like my friend as a skier.. no. It means the judging is fucked up.

This thread is so stupid.
