Well that's arguable, but Europe is far different from the US, and I'm pretty sure there's lots of euro ids who could not pick MJ out of a lineup you're the one who was talking about jordan 90's specifically, now youre talking about present day and even still what you're saying isnt true, you show them a picture of him in a red 23 jersey and they know who he is, show them a simple silhouette of him performing in his sport and they know who he is.
- and if it weren't for his shoes (a great example of diversification of a person as a branding) there'd be far fewer who knew. maybe if it weren't, but it is
Futbol and skiing probably outweigh all other sports combined in terms of fame and exposure over there, and Remi would probably be Jon's best comparison in that instance. soccer? why is this here?
If your friends have never heard of Jon, they're probably not euro skiers and they certainly aren't Swedish. I only say that because how you could ski, pay attention to events and not know who Jon Olsson is I have no idea. you've already changed the time context now you're changing the specifications from an entire population to just the ones who are active in the respective sports
Actually the more I think about it, Jon and MJ have a lot in common. Both great businessmen, great athletes, ambassadors to their sports, classy people and smart with their money. thats like saying Im as good of skier as jon just bc we both ski, it is on such an entirely different level idk why youre not acknowledging that
Maybe he isn't more recognizable across the whole world but they are very similar in many respects. Why people find it unlikely that Jon could be so successful is beyond me is the basic point.
obviously not a fool proof system but google "michael jordan" and "jon olsson" and the score is 50,000,000 to 1,000,000. idc what you're talking about if the ratio is 50:1 there is no justification for comparison
