the scandinavian big mountain championships were held this week and i just saw the results.

there was one really big surprise(to me).

jon olsson came 6th. i knew he was a great racer before he quit but i didn´t know he could ski big mountain THAT well. it´s incredibly impressive considering he probably has to spend most of his time in the park.

anyway the results are:

Alpint, Herrar:

1. Henrik Windstedt (subject to change, 18 years old, defending the title from last year)

5. Kaj Zackrisson ( finished 2nd on the WORLD TOUR last year!)

I can believe it. Anyone that is brought up around big mountain skiing, will probly be a good big mountain skier.

that's sweet dude. that's really great that someone can be really good at both aspects of skiing. thats awesome.

yeah... if you read the ads for the mad_trix it says he needs a ski that can perform on the mountain and in the park.

notice that most good pros can ski everything rather than just park??? I think people need to realize, park is fun for a little... but skiign everything else is much better. I would give up a year of park skiing to get a week of back country.

ummm id never give up 1 year for 1 week... Anyway thats sick... jon olsson is best skier in my book... can he ski bumbs good? cuz if he can then he can kill at any terrain

I bet most Pro's probably try to go big mountain skiing whenever they can, they probably get bored hitting jumps al day, i know i would

everyone I know who is any good at jibbing races (Yes, races). If you want to be a good newschooler, you have to learn to ski everything.

THe best skier is henrick windersted he was opn the junior national team for alpine he is now a world cup mogul skier he won the red bull big air and is in the top 10 in the world for jibbers and he wins skier x comps and has won the scandiavian extremes 2 years in a row no more needed to say

 
yeah henrik winstedt is one of skiing best all-around talents.

he won redbull 2 years ago though, but have placed 3rd and 4th the two last years though.

world cup mogul skier, world junior dual mogul champion, two-time scandinavian big mountain champion and he used to be a good racer too.

thats all-around.
