Jon's been working on a new trick which he calls the "Kangaroo Flip", and it's a double flatspin 540. Expect it to be unleashed at Jon Olsson Invitational!
 
that's a biking trick though. first skiers thief skate terminology, now biking? fuck, how unoriginal are we getting..

p.s, a kangaroo flip in biking is where you do a backflip in their air off your bike and land back on it without your bike moving. sooooo sick.
 
go watch Travis and the Nitro Circus. His cousin Special Greg does all kinds of nasty stuff on a bike. I'm not sure which one it is (one, two, or three) but i know he does a kangaroo flip.
 
awww, man. I was hoping Jon was planning on doing a backflip in their air after taking off his skis and landing back on them without the skis moving. I guess a double flatspin 540 is alright too though...
 
oh yes they can...I'd have to say the only thing that compares is that sick trick in motocross where they do a full body varial with the bike staying in one place...super hard..super sick. I bet they will be pullin backflips off their bikes as well pretty soon.
 
ok so then im assuming that a kangaroo flip wen skiing is wen he does a backflip and takes off his skis and throws them onto the ground wen hes 50 feet in the air and then lands on his skis perfectly and aligns his boots perfectly with his bindings and then rides out clean
 
NO way has anyone done that on a bmx, the guy who does the 360 body varials on mx jumps barely gets his body around back on the bike. A backflip would just be retarded. Id really like to see a video of that
 
jon mcmurray did double flatspin 5s so long ago, like literally 3-4 years....landed one in a QP pretty sure, did tons on water ramps, dont knwo fi eh did any off jumps
 
No, a truckdriver is where you do a 360 barspin on a bike.. in actuality you are supposed to spin one way and barspin the opposite for a true truckdriver.
 
yeh he came to australia for a week to practice them at our water jumps...which im guessing is why he called it the kangaroo flip?
 
why don't they just call it double flat spin. Kangaroo flip sounds so stupid and double flat isn't really a new trick
 
jon just called it that becaues he was in australia and trained on some waterjumps. JOI will be great this year, apparently the biggest competition jump ever made, 15.000 cubic metres of snow!
 
ya this whole kangaroo flip thing on a bms or mx is just a wanna be trick.. no one has ever done a backflip of there bike land on it,land and then ride away thats just rediculous

and as for the double flatspin 540 is it like a double viking flip with an extra 360.?
