in the latest powder mag it says jon is not skiing freestyle as much so he can train up to hopefully make the us olympics in 2014 for racing grand slalom?

it also says that "The Massive is probably tanner Hall's last film"

Its true about Jon. Dont know why he would give up an amazing freestyle carear he has?! But yeah Idk about tanner though.
 
You mean Jon is training for the Swedish team?

That is sick, more props to him. He dedicated so much of his life to freestyle skiing and if he can go back to racing and make it to the Olympics then that just shows how good of a skier he is.
 
Yea, Jon is trying to race.
Tanner is not making a movie next year, although he's going to be fliming still. He might not make movies anymore, but that doesn't mean he isn't going to be IN movies

Where are they again? I completely forgot.
So if Massive is Tanner's last movie, does that mean he'd ski for other film companies again, or would he just not film any more?
And it'd be dope if Jon could get into racing again. I think he did some racing in NZ or somewhere last season just for kicks, and he did well too if I remember correctly.

Jon did a couple races last year throughout the winter and did well. I know there are some in his video blog updates.

yes Jon is tryin to make the olypics on a 15000 dollar bet, but no hes not dropping freestyle entirely, hell do Xgames, and JOI and JOSS but prbly not too many others
 
The 2014 olympics will be held in Sochi, Russia. If I´m not remembering wrong the FWT does a stop there and TGR has been filming there as well.

 
its GIANT SLALOM not grand... and jon has been training a lot for racing, i thought pretty much everyone knew that,
and i highly doubt massive is tanner's last film, i've heard rumors that tanner wants to do some work with 4bi9 and the other way around
 
AHahaha, "simon probably thinks its gay i'm wearing a speed suit but whatever" i love jon (no homo) and seriously, if he makes the 2014 olympics i will be so impressed. Thats a serious accomplishment in it's own, not to mention the fact he still slays the park.
 
could jons racing reduce the hate from park rats to racers and vice versa.......... i hope... but probably not

As for Tanner...How could he NOT be in films anymore? I can see him not making his own, but just showing up for others...he'll do it.
 
Jon is training for 2010 olympics in Vancouver.

He got knee surgery and that is why he isn't doin any preseason freestyle contests. He's doin' Dew Tour though. All this is on jonolssonvideoblog, including him pwning at a few races.

He's so sick and well rounded.
 
When I talked to Tanner at IF3 (claim) he was saying how pissed he was at the ski industry and stuff and that he didn't want to make another movie next year.
He was pretty high and/or drunk at the time though...

Jon has been training for racing for a while, he has been saying that he could easily ski with the swedish team, but he has to make it through the ranks of FIS first. His brother is on the team too.
 
Haha hes gonna need to hit up the tanning booth first. The only thing that gives him away is his non black appearance.
And seriously Jon doesnt really need to train nearly as much as the other guys in the sport. Right now hes on the cutting edge of the sport with his three doubles which he stumps the crap out of. Yea new tricks are coming and he should learn so right side stuff but at least this year he has a solid chance for podium. Dont hate on him for want a olympic gold.
And my guess is tanner is bitter the red bull and quicksliver droped so much cash on Thats it Thats all and red bull and oakley didnt give him close to that.
 
Exactly...its a digital world people...time to move on to better things or someone else will beat you to the punch. Tanner is just capitalizing on technology and using it to give himself creative control over his career *cough*nimbus*cough*

jon has been doing the training for the olympic team for a while, he did pretty well in some races last year even... and its all part of a bet he has with someone. hes just that dedicated to keeping his money in his own packets.
 
Say it ain't Tanner. Your movies the last two years have been my favorite and add so much to the industry.
