Jon isn't competing?

Jon's name isn't on the list for either heat of the open. Anyone know why he decided not to do it?

I dont know why a pro would be competeing. For starters super pros like jon dont really need comps to gain exposure anymore, secondly, arent events like this meant to put the spotlight on crazy Ams? Sure, beating sammy in slope is badass, but sammy winning would be no surprise.

they have to get exsposure for thier sponsers.

if he didnt docomps or anything then the sponsers might drop him. prob not jon but that is what they sponser pros for.

i know that they don't need to go through qualifying, but if you look at the update on the front page, it includes the finals heats (with all the invited pros) and his name isn't on that list either.
