Jon comeback?

Jon just posted on his FB: "Its time to get back to what I love! Full freestyle comeback this winter at age 32 after an injury might sound like I bad idea, but I just miss chilling upside down in the air to much to care about that! Lets do this!" (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Jon-Olsson/221975577832484?fref=nf)

What do you guys think?

Couldn't be more excited. Hopefully this season of filming goes well and he is able to do some competitions next year. Can't wait to see what new tricks he invents this winter.

I'd like to see what he would come up with. Converting a Lambo into a camper? Turning a camper into an ultra luxury, high performance suite on wheels?

Bout time we get some good girl skiers in the game.

But seriously I am so stoked for this, a true vet and a true legend

id like to see jon give something back to the ski industry... sure he hosted events, but that was for exposure and profit as well, then to have gates? involved instead of focusing on the sport that made him anything at all... he should be supporting the industry that paid him money that other kids actually needed.. the next generation of skiing needs less vacuums.

comeback? dude is the original gaper. he doesnt need backers, or sponsors, same as henrick or hatviet, their parents could buy the newschool skiing industry for fun... its not an unfair advantage, you cant buy style

Definitely the most retarded post I've read in a while

N.L., what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

But in all seriousness, I don't think you actually know what you're talking about at all. Jon made a good portion of his money on his own by starting companies or becoming a partner in them. Also, to say one of the original legends of freeskiing has no style is ridiculous. Have you ever seen him ski or are you like 15 years old and don't really know anything about him?

You're never too old to become the next SKI BOSS.

But seriously in a perfect world Jon comes back and destroys big mountain.

Give something back? Wooo... Here are five things for you, sport.

1. Jon created and hosted some of the most innovative events in the freeskiing world, and he did it for almost 10 years in a row. I've been very involved in some of these - and I'll tell you this; they sure as fuck will not make you rich.

2. You clearly have absolutely no idea of how hard Jon worked for his money. When other skiers were hungover after partying seven days in a row, he was on the phone, making sure that JOI would be streamed live to the US and Canadian audiences.

3. He has founded two companies in the freeskiing industry. Although he left Yniq some time ago, I know that the folks at Douchebags are doing very well. Founding a company means taking a crazy big-ass risk. It means chipping in your own money. Ever heard about that?

4. "...paid him money that other kids actually needed"? And his parents could "buy the new school skiing industry for fun"? Did you know that Jon's dad used to be a cop? Now, I don't know where you're from, and have absolutely no clue about what kind of money police officers make over there...

Anders (Jon's father) once told me that Jon had to go out and take some very shitty McJobs to be able to buy himself a pair of new poles. His father simply couldn't get them for him. Jon didn't grow up with a silver spoon. He is a very self-made guy.

5. Style is of course a matter of personal preference... I just wonder why you're heavily dissing one of the original inventors of doubles (Mike Wilson would be the other); a guy who hit Chad's Gap switch... but I have a theory:

It sounds like the reason for your rant is that you want money and you think Jon should give them to you? Two words for you: Get a fucking job you spoiled fucking kid! Well, that's eight words but I think you get the message.

Personally, I'm crazy happy that Jon is getting into freestyle again. Not only will our sport benefit from it - it also means that it will be a great season for pretty-boy jokes and there are awesome photoshop-threads to be created.
