Gotta agree w/ you on this one. Even the commentators were surprised. Jon should be in first place right now. His run was sooooooo smooth.

ya i agree, although i dont think it was a gold medal run, jon deserved more. i think they were keeping tanners run in mind while they judged jons, which is totally unfair.

i think the judges have it out for jon, no matter how sick his run is, still below tanner, although tanner's run was deserving..

the judges are totally biased towards tanner. this is gay. tanner fell on his ass on his last hit and jon lost a ski but stayed up and had a killer run. this is gettin retarded

yeah dumont was definitely njot better in my mind. all he did was a couple of fives. jon killed it.

jon threw the exact same run three times right? so how come his last run (with at least one sketchy landing) scored so much higher than his first two, which were both flawless?? am i missing something here?

strode420- You're exactly right. You know why? Because it's engineered to be dramatic. No one wants to watch a bunch of skiers taking three runs, trying to beat something they know to be the best pipe run ever thrown down. It's not TV enough.... so therefore, ALL of the high scores are given only in the final round, 'heating things up' for ESPN, but fucking over the riders. Think about why they gave Pete Olenick's run such a high score- they were coming into the third run, and had to 'heat things up' by finally pushing the bar above 90. You could have switched all of the riders' runs around, and it wouldn't matter... their third run, provided they didnt totally suck, would score higher than their previous runs. They want everything to come down to the last minute.

 
^thats why xgames are so fuckin stupid. they could give a shit about the riders, aslong as they have ppl watchin. and since its one of the only skiing events on tv, everybody watches it
