JOI in NYC

Thats is amazing. Finally something comes to NYC, been wait here for it. I really hope it happens.

randalls island would be the ONLY place i could see that actually happening... would still be pretty awesome though.

im surprise we didn't see Jon prancing around Soho with an orange mocha frappuccino..

jon went to visit nyc after icer air, and he was just looking around for spots that would be able to ossibly hold the event. he said they were going to meet with some people and see if they could get something going.

Get that televised and we'd have have the biggest event, offering the most exposure to the sport of the whole season, probably the biggest to date

so i move to colorado and now theres gonna be a sick event in nyc, which is an hour from my house. idk how well it will work out though. i hate to be a downer but the city is pretty warm, and there arent really any open places where i could see it working. hopefully im wrong

is it just me that thinks this is the stupidest idea ever???

there is going to be like the smallest jump ever for it

its will have to be held much earlyier instead of the usual times it has been held in the past

so much for having a huge jump where people can progress

yo dude be quiet man i live in the city and there are plenty of places to have it dont be pissed cause it aint in ur city

jon wouldnt let a mediocre jump be used in his name. if they do it in the city, it will be insane..

i read about it awhile ago and i think it sounds like there gonna try and do one in nyc and in sweden like they he has in the past.

i really doubt jon would let them build some shitty little jump for the JOI. its a pretty big fucking deal. and that would be so awesome if it was there. definately worth the and 8 hour drive

wow this better happen. I'm like a half hour from NYC. I want to go to a real ski contest so badly and now it might actually happen - sick.

there are so many options. there are mad sessions to be had in nyc and crazy good spots to build two massive steup ups. and plenty enough resources to make the snow. but i grew up there from 0-18. i wont be to amped if it goes down. i dont think hed do that at some one elses home mountain. aside form that nyc has had some pretty epic storms that have shut down the city. but a real long time ago something like 10 years ago was the last big one. so much snow that you would be walking on cars. i would always fantasize about being able to ride a ski doo around through out the 5 boroughs during one of these storms. there are so many dope spots were you could really do crazy progressive urban skiing, in ways that you cant imagine. i hope il be able to experience one of those snow storms again!!!!

I can't stand the guy... Even thought, a big air event like that in NYC would be great for the sport and amazing for sure

I don't know... he seems to have a little too much of love for himself, he acts too much like a superstar. Pros like TJ are waaaay chiller to people, and also seem to enjoy the skiing part of the whole thing more than the lamborgini and self propagandistic videos part of skiing...
