John Mosley shows up as the first result no matter what you search

Not true. I searched my username and got a picture I took of Dirtystyle as the first hit. Methscratchface's "Tommy Mosely" (which is an awesome photo BTW) is the second hit. Seems like you will always want to see that photo again so IMO the searchbar is better than ever.

NS has tried to fix the search bar forever, with very talented programmers, it's not just a flip of a switch

The way the site is designed it's insanely hard to create an accurate search, it's been broken since I joined then site 15 years ago, gtfo noob

it's facts eheath, the fact that the google search using "site: newschoolers.com" prefix actually yield real results shows that its possible to fix it, even a redirect to google is good enough. These talented programmers should just implement the Google API search function

We did that in like 2012? +/- 1 year, it was a dumpster fire. It has to do with how the site is built, we did a big revamp a couple years ago so maybe it could be easier now but TBH a broken search bar has been a quirk of NS forever.

Also not that much of a pain in the ass to use google.

there's the answer right there. why would they spend crazy time and money redoing the search bar when google gives us everything we need already?

google site:newschoolers.com with your search terms and boom you're in. total waste for NS to even spend a minute on it
