True, but he didn't go to whistler to ski last summer, he was up there and heard about the setup so he decided he was going to do that trick. Went up, borrowed someone's gear, and there you have it.

this is the truth. He approached us while we were filming the Metropolis intro in Govy at Hood. He gave me his album and shit and told me I could use it in my vids. Dude looked pretty G'd up hahaha
 
whatever, the guy does what he wants too. i think it's pretty badass that he did that just out of the blue and whatnot. but man, i hate his music.

A wise drunk man told me bout 2 days ago live your life no one else can live it for you im McMurray wants to rap let him do that even if he's not great at it. The majority of ns arent the best skiers but thats not the point we love the sport and thats why we do not just to make it in some videos and comps
 
Unbelievable.
One of the originators of newschool skiing, who has since moved on to new passions, shows up one day after not skiing forever, borrows some gear, and repeatedly stomps a trick that nobody has ever done before.... and kids on here talk shit. Where is the respect in skiing these days? It's absolutely shameful.
Props Mcmurray! That was sick, way to keep pushing boundaries after all these years, and best of luck with the music career.
 
Haha I forgot about him. To think that he can just come back for a quick session and do a trick nobody has thought of is pretty cool. He was doing lincolns off kicker rails in Focused so it only makes sense that at some time he would have progressed to this. That reminds me that he had one of my favorite segments in the movie too. Has he done any skiing since this? This was last summer I assume.
 
Claiming old man status doesn't prove you're right. Jon McMurray has always been an idiot and I'm glad he's out of the spotlight now because he is among the worst possible ambassadors for newschool skiing. That was a good trick, but who gives a shit. McMurray got famous flipping on rails and he's still doing it. He needs to prove he isn't a one trick pony and stop being such a fucking bag o' doushe.

Flipping on rails is pretty dope, still is. even if that and jumping off inanimate objects into bushes are his only tricks. I don't think he was trying to prove anything. He is not trying to make a comeback. and yes he can come off as a douche nozzle but I always just found the whole LCP thing comical.
There are plenty of others who are idolized by todays population of newschool skiers who are just as bad of ambassadors.

Seems like old pros always make brief comebacks in the summer. I never doubted that McMurray would be the first person to flip between two rails though.
 
He coached pretty much all winter, but all he did was backflip the first table first hit, then just chill on the knuckle and coach. He was doing misty 9s one day though. Occasionally he likes to just throw down lol.

I am getting so sick of ns and getting on less and less each day. Hate is coming back and just because he doesn't wear xxxl tees and a bandana doesn't mean he can't ski good. People talking crap on Mcmurray most likely cann't even come close to a trick of this level.
 
I cant agree any more with you. NS has become some site that kids come on to just to bash others if they dont flow with what is now the norm. I skied countless days with mcmurray this winter and spent 2 weeks with him in mt. hood and i can say that he is not only an amazing skier but an amazing coach and friend. anybody who cant top what jon can throw down on and off of the snow shouldnt be speaking or hating on him. I cant believe the things that some people say.
