John mccain- republican front runner

it really sickens me America voted with their Bible's

McCain is not conservative on some subjects and i really think Hukabee(sp)? will be his running mate..

Look at Taft, he was unitarian(kind of like christianity but no divinity of christ)

and Jefferson was kind of a deist or unitarian. JFK was catholic.

I am not mormon but I would have absolutely no problem with one in the white house. Actually come to think about it I really don't care what religion a politician is.
 
The weird thing about it is that McCain is succeeding largely as a result of the anti-war republican vote when really he's even more of an interventionist, politically, than GWB.

In recent times, we have seen how religion affects one's rule in the White House. Like George W. Bush's anti-gay marriage bill. Gay people are citizens too who cares if it is wrong in the bible its wrong on our constitution to deny rights to any citizen who has not been found guilty of any crime.

Yeah. They talk about the sanctity of marriage but really las vegas already threw that out the window. I don't want to marry a dude but my religious beliefs shouldn't be keeping someone from doing that.

well it looks like we dont have to worry bout romney anymore. im with you minnesota, i am already looking foreward to 2012. mccain is a flip flopper who wants whatever the current trend is. i cant stand clinton she just pises me off nothing to do with being a woman she just rubs me the wrong way. i guess its obama by default

to be honest Obama scares me as much or more than Clinton, and here's why.......

if you vote clinton you know exactly what you are going to get (i dont like it, but it is what it is)

for the most part Obama is for change? change is a huge word and he needs to define his positions better....

plus i worry if anyone tries to stop or block Obama's Bills in the house/senate, people (the media) will cry RACE and smear them into the ground, for disagreeing with him on a matter of issues..

no minnesota thats legit, but i really dont think that the race thing is going to be an issue (excecpt for some ignorant people here on ns). i think if anything it will be the last reason to be brought up because it is such a sketchy issue with most people. either way i am predicting democrat but i dont think we will know who it is until after the convention, this one is going all the way.
 
yeah, i dont like all that guilianni had to offer but at least he has the experiance and can prove he can lead well..

remember what eisenhower did for the US in the 50's i think it was. he was a formal general. not exactly war-hungry but deffinatly not afraid to flex america's military muscle. i cant quite remember but im pretty sure one of the reasons the ussr didnt fuck with us militarily during the cold-war was because eisenhower would deff not be hesitant to fuck up anyone who comes close to us. perhaps mccain will have the same affect on terrorists/countries that are planning to wage war agaisnt us
 
Yea Mitt Romney backed out so that there could be more republican votes towards one republican canidate.
 
there is no way mccain is electable against hillary or obama.

the only way we can beat the democrats this november is having a real conservative front runner, not some middle of the road candidate posing as a republican. we need another reagon. if mccain is the front runner many conservatives are going to stay home or vote for an independent such as ron paul once he drops out and the democrats will have a landslide victory for hillary or obama whoever gets the nomination
 
you know whats funny about him? all the fanatic kids on this site that are claiming revolution don't realize that ron paul is so far behind that even if mccain suddenly died, he'd still have no chance at the GOP.
 
Because Huckabee who had no chance of winning stayed in the race and drew votes away from romney. A vote for Huckabee was essentially a vote for McCain.
 
yeah i can see where you are coming from......

the RACE card has been played though, i was watching hannity and colmes (dont hate) and they had a bunch of black people on, who were planning on voting for Obama because they related to him being black...... and when hannity asked the question on what would happen if a bunch of white people got on TV saying they were planing on voting for Hilary because she is white and they relate to her better, no one dared touch that question.....

and dont BS me, if i got on TV and said i was going to vote for hilary because she is white and im white i would be run out of town and have jessie james and al sharpton (sp?) on my case...............

im not racist im just trying to prove a point, i believe you should vote based on issues, not skin color and not sex...
 
i think if people are going to bash black people for voting for obama, then they should also bash evangelicals for voting for huckabee. some people vote for who they can relate to, get over it.
 
I think the fact that he's black is a legitimate factor, ie, reason to vote for a candidate, but it should not be the sole or even main reason you're voting for him. But the comment about evangelicals voting for Huckabee because he shares their religious values is pertinent, it amounts to much the same thing... African americans see a black candidate and many of them think he understands them and their needs because they've shared the same perspective. As to whether that's true, I don't know, I've never been black, nor can I read Obama's mind.
 
thats a HORRIBLE factory to vote with....... thats like saying hey this milk is 3 months old, but its still milk so we should think about drinking it...(best example i could think of right now..im tired) translated it means obama is the milk, but he has horrible stands on things, but you should still think about voting for him cuz he is black.. the old milk is representing his horrible stands on issues..
