gov. owens made a statement pretty much saying that he is ashamed that the boulder DA office just wasted a ton of money. They said it was the most expensive DNA test in Colorado history. Yeah fucking flying some fag from Thailand and then they flew him from Cali in the governers private jet. I would be pissed too

Mark Lacy[DA] defended the decision to arrest Karr. She said that there was no way to take a cheek swab from him without alerting him that he was under investigation, and that would have created an "unacceptable risk that he would flee."

The press barely covered the fact that his ex wife said that he was with them on Christmas. Nancy Grace played a huge part in just wanting to feed everyone the story that this man was guilty. Some people (John Karr) are so craving of attentin (positive or negative) that they will do anything. Think of a little kid who throws a fit to get their parents attntion. Now even though John Karr has a few problems he will always be remembered almost as a celebrity that admitted to murdering JeanBenet. In a way its almost kind of sad that people feast so much fame and the want of fame.
