why would they focus on his anti-war activism rather than his music?? His music is what made him famous. it all seems like some sort of anti-war in Iraq propaganda to me.

the situation with the vietnam war was very similar to what is going on now a days in iraq. although there are some big differences.

the reason they're focusing on his impact as an anti-war activist is because his music was a strong influence on people and how the young people got involved in protests. the documentary doesn't ignore the musical aspect of his life because he used music as a vessel to help get his message across.

its really cool to see how much influence the things they did were.

I don't complain about everything. I just don't think it would do John Lennon justice by only focusing on one part of Lennon's career to incite anti-war sentiments to further their own personal agenda rather than focusing on what really matters: his music. Why not focus on what his music meant, its impact on the people, using the anti-war as a footnote.

i might not have done a great job of describing it. sorry. the documentary followed the time when the beatles became a little less mainstream (because of john lennons joke on the beatles being more famous then god.) and when he started using his music to spread peace during the veitnam war.

"all we are saying is give peace a chance"
