Just wondering who all listens to em? I really enjoy their music. Anybody listen to em and what are some bands similar?
 
jonh butler trio definitely plays there own style. there arent really any bands that have the same sound. there are some aussie artists who sound similar but its all different. check out xavier rudd, rob sawyer, and the beautiful girls. somewhat similar, rudd uses alot of aussie insturments just like JBT, Rob sawyer create some folky tunes somewhat like JBT, and the beautiful girls are really chilled out beach music. Im sure youve already heard Ben Harper but some of his more eclectic songs have a simialar vibe to JBT.

i take it you've already heard the grand nation CD. Its wicked, I cant fast forward a single song they are all good. I really enjoyed sunrise of sea as well and three.
 
man you gotta check out some of the longer versions of ocean.. the 10-15 minute versions do it full justice, but hte 5 just doesn't cut it all that much.. but jb3 is rediculous.

so fun of a show and just totally good vibes to lsiten to..
