ok so for everyone who bitched me out for saying he quit.

there is a difference. mike nick is a good example. he still skis and works with siver cartel even though he sort of "retired". mosely quit.

tanner will probably make the bulk of his money later on in life, but he still has alot invested in armada and will most likely be tied to our industry.

mosely isnt even interested. that means he didnt really have much of a passion for our sport and doesnt even want to consider doing something that would help it.

Keep in mind, tanner is one of my favorite skiers i just think he's fucked in 15 years. Don't you think it would kinda suck to be that age and not do anything productive wth your life... i mean skiing would be fun, but maybe it's just me, i think i would actually need to "do" something 5 days a week at the age of 35.

...maybe i'm asking for a lot here, but what has johny done to "ruin skiing's image". I watched battle of the sexes on MTV alot when he was hosting, and i really didn't see much of a problem with his behavor. Yeah the game was bad, but would any video game company shell out tons of dollars to produce a sweet game for such a low selling base years ago. I really don't see anything the guy has done to cause all of this hatered.

nothing, which is why i thought mosely was cool and thought it be actually kinda cool to see him filming again. what is annoying is the fact that hes not going to do anything for the industry that he "helped start" and really gave him his life. all his experiences like being able to host on MTV and be on SNL...

it was his job and his life. now he's done with it, it seems like he should give something back. like even a "jonny mosely terrain park" or helping out at a camp in the summer.

Ok, I can understand your arguement. It makes good sense. Maybe he could contibute more to what "he started".

But I think it's rediculous that people say he's a disgrace to skiing and makes us look stupid... he won an olympic gold medal and has brought a little respect with his unconventional olympic tricks. Let's be honost, if he made a video or entered a comp now, he'd get destroyed.

I will never ever forget when I was in 8th grade and stayed up late one night to watch Moseley throw a 360 mute grab in the olympics. That set off my passion for skiing and since then I have moved across the country to ski better mountains and more often.

People grow up and need to make money. It happens. Get over it. He's gonna keep making a living cause he can't do it amping his gold medal and mogul career forever.

So was he a big part of the start of freeskiing or not? You use the fact that was a big part sarcastically in one sentence, then use it literally in the next. Which is it? If he did play a huge role, and now he's done skiing, has he not done his part to getting your sport out to the masses? Nothing satisfies you other than calling him a fag. What about other athletes that get hurt/retire, and disappear? And since you don't think he can do anything but ruin skiing's "reputation", why do you care if he's done?

Personally, I think he feels like he is no longer competetive, and thus wants to move on with his life. Hence, Berkely, WallStreet.

Another thing I really dont get is he never exactly was all too into our sport to begin with. He did moguls. Yeah he was doing 360 Mutes and the "Dinner Roll" but I mean he never did urban. He never rode park. He just did some freestyle tricks on moguls. I wouldnt classify him as a Freestyle Skier. Yeah he had Mosleys Mad Trix but look how that turned out....
