Joe Cook. sticks it to Obama.

second one is a load of crap. im so sick of them digging for the new bad "relationships" Obama has had. If obama wanted to do that he could have quite the list of questionable characters McCain has hung around with, but he hasnt gone there.

The first? Opinion i suppose.

Is he disrespecting the people that fought? ABSOLUTELY not.Hes disrespecting the people that got us there. As for the people being better off.. are they? Theres more terror and suicide bombs now than there were when Saddam was in power. And when saddam was in power more people had electricity and water, things that have been taken out for some time in some towns due to fighting. Not to mention the fact that WHEN we leave, whats gonna happen then. Chaos.

well i guess a lot more soldiers are gonna die fighting a fight with no end. no biggie though, right?

disclaimer this video ONLY shows the good, but watch it with an open mind... and feel free to post "iraq is a shit hole" video's.

Its touching. (thats not being sarcastic i swear) but i just dont think its worth it. when the people were ready to be free, they would have fought to be free. we didnt have anyone come in to fight for our independence. neither did france, in the french revolution. when they were ready they would have fought

yeah ok that's bullshit. you can't say they are better off, when the Iraqi people want America out of there and back like it was when Saddam (sp?) was in power. Why can't we fight for freedom where there's no oil, like say in Darfur where its REALLY fucked up. I'm not saying that we should go to everywhere that needs help it's just that the Iraq war was a selfish misguided attack on a country that wasn't doing very badly. they did not have WMD's--try to prove this one to me PLEASE! when tons of people are dying from both sides and it was more pleasant before this whole Iraq war.
THIS IS NOT TO SAY THAT I DON'T RESPECT WHAT OUR BOYS ARE DOING OUT THERE EVERY DAY RISKING THEIR LIVES! THAT'S SOME TOUGH SHIT I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO GET MYSELF TO DO.
RESPEK AND PRAISE TO HAILE SELASSIE SO DAT YALL MAKE IT HOME GOOD.
i love getting my tanner on.

wow, you have never been to iraq, and you are saying that the soldier who has spent a year over there is lying? classy, bitch.

actually, yeah, that happens all the time. somebody should spent a little time in the fire department before they say something as stupid as that.

how was he saying he was lying?

he said the only reason we were there is cuz of oil... true

and that there were no WMDs also true.

and that they want us out of there... a large portion of them do. i fail to see where the claim of lying was....

one of my good buddy's family lives in Baghdad and trust me the HATE what America has done to their country. no need for you to be a dickshit here.

that was stupid. the war was a mistake because we were supposed to be going for osama, and were lied to about nuclear weapons in iraq

First off, I'd like to say that just because you don't like Obama's stance on the Iraq war is no way a reason to vote for McCain. To say the Vietnam war was a fight for freedom is, in itself, an incredible fallacy. Vietnam was a response to the so called "threat" of Communism by paranoid conservatives. Vietnam was free before we went in and napalmed it all, and lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers in the process.

Second, I do agree that the Iraq war was for the better. Back when it meant something. Now, what used to be a war about freedom has become a clusterfuck of puppy-killing oppression of Iraqi people.

Third, this man is hardly a credible source of information. It is not disrespectful to call Iraq war a mistake. It IS a mistake. War is always a mistake. War is what happens when diplomatic relations breakdown and our leaders refuse to resolve things in a rational way. McCain i s pro-war IE supportive of the killing and rape and spending of trillions of dollars solely for the purpose of destruction. How is that a good virtue for a president?

Walk softly, but carry a big stick. Only use it when you absolutely have too. Not because you enjoy it.

Wow settle down man, you're trying to undermine his opinion by saying he has never been to iraq? Let me ask you a question.
As a citizen do you have to sign up for the marines and go fight a war you don't support to have an opinion on it?
It's ok if you disagree with him but maybe next time you can take a pragmatic approach to your argument rather than make a fool of yourself by displaying such a narrow, chauvinistic mindset.

absolutely they assisted. but not on the scale of us in Iraq. They arent doing anything, not even paying for it...

All the fun trappings of war. I guess not supportive of rape, but definitely killing. But in the end, a=b=c.

all i know is, this kids never been down to the west side of town, hes probly never been to the west side of his property because you cant wif the bacon from that end, ok thats petty and dick to say, but man, if he wants to cry, and he does, fucking cry man, let it out, back to the west side, everythings not all good on the homefront, by far from all good, i can walk 20 blocks west of my house, and if im wearing the wrong color, i know im asking for trouble, and thats the way it is, maybe its worse there, maybe its not, i dont know, but i do know, that this fool hardly knows the dark depths of his own country, and he wants to stand there and preach?

alright i didnt watch it til the end, i was really really dick there, but hey man, war and fighting is not the answer and i cite gang violence as evidence for that, a drastic change in the way we live is the only way out for real, and the first thing is to set down the guns

more like

"do you rescue the child in the house full of oil"

or the worse burning house but no oil.

we chose oil

Anybody remember Obama's promise to pull troops out of Iraq after 16 months of him being in office?

His whole campaign was based on that when he ran against Hillary. NOw......you hear nothing about it because everybody knows that putting a timetable on it like that is a disaster.Lack of good judgement.

Form the NewYorker

"Obama, whatever the idealistic yearnings of his admirers, has turned out to be a cold-eyed, shrewd politician. The same pragmatism that prompted him last month to forgo public financing of his campaign will surely lead him, if he becomes President, to recalibrate his stance on Iraq. He doubtless realizes that his original plan, if implemented now, could revive the badly wounded Al Qaeda in Iraq, reënergize the Sunni insurgency, embolden Moqtada al-Sadr to recoup his militia’s recent losses to the Iraqi Army, and return the central government to a state of collapse. The question is whether Obama will publicly change course before November. So far, he has offered nothing more concrete than this: “We must be as careful getting out of Iraq as we were careless getting in.” "

1. vietnam was free before the war, you're right, but no one believed that the vietcong was capable of even fighting in a war let alone put up a good fight. the war was a fight to prevent freedom from being taken away so in that sense it was a fight for freedom
2. you just made one of the largest generalizations ive ever seen, by saying that the war is all about puppy-killing and it means nothing, one soldiers actions does not in any way shape or form show what all the other soldiers are doing in Iraq, im pretty sure to them this war means something.
3. you're questioning the credibility of a soldier whose been over there for months on end? you have not been there. and the war was not a mistake on september 12th 2002, every single person that i talked to thought we should go to war, im sure you did too. We just didnt plan a way out which is too bad because now were stuck in there.
4. im 100% positive that McCain is not supportive of rape and to say hes supportive of killing is one of the most ignorant comments ive ever heard, he was IN war, he was IN a POW camp, and after all that you really think that hes like im pro-war because i want people to die, no. hes pro-war because if we pull out of Iraq, it'll be a mess again. As for "spending trillions of dollars solely for the purpose of destruction." i would like to point out that Obama has gone 125 million dollars over the designated cap for campaigns, sounds like he knows how to work with money really well

we are talking about Iraq. They had nothing to do with Sept 11th. Zero. Nada. Zilch. People wanted us to go into Afghanistan. Not Iraq.

We didnt go into Iraq till March 20th 2003. A year and a half after Sept 11th.... They are totally unrelated.

hahah are you serious? because we went to afghanistan we moved onto Iraq, if we didnt go into afghanistan we wouldnt be in Iraq right now, so yes, they are completely related 100%

No. Just no. Get your facts straight please.

Afghanistan. After Al Quaeda. THE PEOPLE THAT ATTACKED US

Iraq. After WMDs. Wait. After Saddam. Lets be real. After Oil.

So basically if it takes every last american man women and child in america we are doing a good thing right??? ummm..... hello

right? all that is americans trying to live in their own heroic legacy. i'm a fireman and u do what u can do, you don't throw ur life away.

btw obviously deep respect for anybody in the armed forces

Well let me put it this way, ALL of my family lives in Iraq right now and I can tell you that you don't know what you are talking about.

i understand that, but what im trying to say is that if we hadnt been in afghanistan already, we would not have entered iraq. also your going away from what i originally said, that people thought war was a good idea after 9/11 so dont complain about war

PEOPLE THOUGHT THE WAR IN AFGHANISTAN WAS GOOD. BECAUSE WE WERE AFTER THE PEOPLE THAT ATTACKED US!!! they didnt think iraq was good, the country was pretty split. not to mention the majority of the people supporting it were supporting based on the lies of the bush administration.

and yeah. we would have entered iraq. i have no doubt in my mind we would have, bush had that planned before he even took office.

still no need for you to be a dickshit here, but i'm pretty sure that it was more peaceful and there was actually order out there before mighty warlord bush decided to go in. I feel very bad for all your family in this situation because it's shitty out there for sure.
