sorry k-rob, i have more questions, why the fuck do all y'all jocks wear your socks half way up your calfs. possibly the gayest thing ive seen. ive started to tell everyone i see walkin to class with em, "cool socks", or "nice socks" they''re too dumb to get it. so please, i know some of you idiots are out there, whats the appeal?
 
yeah, who cares. some people like taller socks. I wear socks that go halfway up my calves when doing anything athletic, even if im wearing track pants, so its not even for the look of it, i just prefer taller athletic socks to ankle socks. I can't stand ankle socks cause I can't stand feeling any part of my shoe on my skin.
 
Its like asking why preppy kids buy the jeans that look halfway beat to hell and polo shirts. Its for a look and so they can fit in with the other people like them.
 
Dude you don't know jock until you've walked around in my old highschool. I fucking hated it so much I had maybe a total of 5 friends throughout highschool.
 
well if you have ever worn cleats, you get nasty blisters if you dont wear tall socks. And i think the tall socks have been around wayyyyy before ankle socks. and ankles started off as a girl thing. so stop being a closed minded douche bag
 
when i was playing lacrosse and was defending some kid wearing mid-calfed socks, i would always call him "socks"
 
haha i have poison ivy right now so im rockin some tall socks in school, its really quite nice.. but i wear pants cause im ashamed of these fucking grampa high socks i have on ahah....anyone who wears them with shorts and without some form of skin issue, is a tool whos trying to be all "look im goofy like urkel, but still cool and casual, beer me brah!", which is sad.
 
Me too pretty much. Well a lot of kids liked me and they were ok at best, I mean I'd talk to them if they were around sometimes but I'd never like call them to hang out or something.

Oh and I don't like tall socks either, not enough to make a thread, but I'll agree with Ax in this one. Mostly it just looks goofy as fuck, but apparently that is cool now?
 
ive been a "nerd" my whole life and i wear these kind of socks.....i dont think its cool or anything they are just the socks that i have. once i started wearing them i got so good at sports though. i'm really popular now. i havent looked back since.

And realized its probably just because their ankles get cold.

i still don't get the problem. You don't like them? Ok...don't wear them then? Its style, i'm sure there are people who see what you're wearing and hate it. And you think its so funny to say "nice socks" and shit like that, but then you think they are a dumbass for not realizing you are making fun of them? Do you say it mad sarcastically or something? Cause if someone walks up to me and says "Nice shirt!" or something, i tend to take it as a compliment. So i'm thinking you're probably complimenting them on their socks all the time
 
thank you. i where high socks for that reason, and if im wearing them during the day, its becuase i dont want ot wear another short pair and then put on high ones for practice or whatev
 
dood i rock the tube socks pulled up all day. they are so warm and comfortable, especially when u wear skinny jeans, they keep ur ankles warm

God i hate when people wear tall socks with flip flops. At my school some kid wore some ankle socks with flip flops and it caught on really bad. Now tons of people are wearing huge sucks that go halfway up their leg with sandals, and it looks stupid as fuck.

Why are kids on NS starting to become fags? The word jock is so stupid. One kid wrote in here he had five friends in highschool and there were so many jocks. Boo fucking who, you were a loser, get over it. Highschool is what you make it. And people who refer to athletes as jocks, why do you? You sound like a moron from 95 when you call someone a jock. Im just sick of this stuff on NS. NSG is turing to a bunch of nerds and fucking losers bashing people.
