What a coincidence. My name is also JD. I too enter the job market tomorrow, I will be on the hunt beginning on Bowen Island. It will be an interesting search, as I am, apparently, largely unemployable. We should start a pool in this thread on how long it'll take. Also, an over/under set at 6 weeks.

haha I was on the search for like 10 minutes. If it takes longer than a day to find a job in Calgary then you are useless. A lot of places actually give you a few hundred bucks on the spot if you sign with them, they are so desperate. and I even found something that will give me relevant experience in my field!

yeah apparently calgary is desperate for jobs, might be worth going there to make money and save up. It's not that easy to find a job in the lower mainland.

yeah lots of rigs in my area, but thoses jobs arnt for kids like me, they will bend me over.

My prob is no one wants to hire me for a couple of months, and I cant work labour cuz my back fubarded.
