So, i'm 14 and looking for a job to work over the summer for money to golf and buy new ski equipment next year. What are good places to work when your 14. Also I live in West Vancouver if that helps at all. I have worked at a resteraunt for 3 months but didnt like it. Thanks.
 
I worked at a summer day camp when I was 13-16.

After that I got a sick job at an exotic car dealership whipping Porsches/Vettes/Mercedes and selling trade-ins on eBay.

Now I work in my University's physics lab setting up lab equipment for classes and chilling at a computer.

I'm waiting to hear about an engineering internship with Ball corp. (Pepsi's bottling supplier). $18, let's hope I get it.

But at age 14, I feel like the camp thing is so common because they want people who can connect with the little ones and if you're 24, that doesn't always work. I only made minimum wage but whatever you're 14, you don't have to pay for gas/car insurance and shit like that.
 
You're 14, you should have sucked it up and dealt with the restaurant. It's real tough to get a job at 14, so not a smart decision there bud.
 
There's not many job's you're going to like when you're 14. Suck it up and deal with it like everyone else who works.
 
fast food, grocery stoere, umpire baseball/ref soccer ect, i made 25 a games and had about 3 games a week,and i had a light schedule.
 
yardwork. Find some local group that does youth jobs. Here in NY, we have a youth job thing that im doign this summer. Im doing some gardening thing. Working 6 Weeks of the summer, 9am-2pm everyweek day. Minimum wage but who cares. Im getting a ton of money and me having money is like holy salkhflkhfsa becuase im stupid.
 
yeah dishing isnt THAT bad. i did it for 6 months. then i got a raise to cook. anyway thats beside the point.

what others said yardwork is where its at. people are lazy and will pay good money (usually) to have something done that they dont want to do - or are too busy to do.

also, you like golfing? ever thought of caddying? i did it for 2 summers when i was 14 and 15. if you get good at it you can make a lot of money especially with tips. i also liked it cause you could set your own hours, for the most part (at least the clubs i worked at let us). ALSO, if you like golfing, most clubs - at least the few i worked at - usually have a caddy morning or something, one morning once every couple of weeks or something like that, where caddys could get there a little earlier and play the course for free. its not that often but hey, you get to play on a really nice private golf course without being a member and for free.
 
Hardly any places hire at the age of 14, try a grocery store, you could most likely bag food or be a cashier.

You have to be 16 to operate fry vats and various equipment so most fast food places wouldn't want you.
